What does it do?
I just noticed it on three pieces.
AF1 helm, Gloom Cuirass (lv50 JSE) and Sable Cuisses.
Do all three pieces combined turn you into a machine able to oneshot yourself?

Hmm, dunno really i used the AF1 helm alot and using souleater their are alot of things that go into what dmg your gonna do, i don't think the +1 help'd much
enhanced means u lose less HP i think
lessens the percentage of HP that you lose per hit, I've never bothered with it.
Didn't someone prove that the AF1 helm gives you a slight accuracy boost when using Souleater as well as lowering the percentage of HP taken? Even if the other pieces don't lower the percentage of HP taken when Souleater is activated it may be worth spending some time to see if the enhance is actually more accuracy.
You can't die to Souleater.Originally Posted by Enitsu
Wouldn't lowering the HP you lose per hit be a bad thing? I thought Souleater drained HP from you and caused that damage to the target as an additional effect on each hit. So if you wear equipment that reduces the HP drained from you, and therefore the damage given to the target, wouldn't your Souleater be weaker?
Well, same dmg but cost less hp if you want.
Enhance souleater drains 2% more hp from the user if you have the item equipped for it. It enhances damage done, not sure about accuracy.
I'm pretty sure they don't stack, although I've had no tests with sable cuirass. Chaos Burgeonet and Gloom breastplate don't seem to stack when I try them though, as my hp remains the same no matter which one I use and there isn't any noticable increase in damage over having just one.
The best enhancement to souleater is to just stock up on a lot of +HP gear in addition to one of the "enhance souleater" pieces.
yeah personally I use cassie earring on my drk for that hp boost, and still gives me an str bonus.
What about the Flagellant's Crossbow? Anyone use this for Souleater?
Why would that have any effect on souleater?
i saw some guy in sky after my xp party today who was wearing chaos burgeonet, sable cuisses, and gloom cuirass. he claimed that wearing all three decreased HP loss slightly but gave a big bonus to damage. twentytwo may remember the DRK's name, we were standing around there for a while after the party ended.
I've heard from a few different sources it has a hidden effect of Haste+8% or something during Souleater.Originally Posted by Sekkite
Sable Cuisses are good if you dont have E.legs, I believe ;p They enhance so you less HP per hit, but deal same DMG.
Well, as I said, I haven't tested with sable cuirass, only with Chaos Burgeonet and Gloom breastplate.
Nope... only 1 "Enhance Souleater" item works, someone ran a test awhile back... saw it on killingifrit i thinkOriginally Posted by Dariel
Stacking Enhanced Souleater items used to inrease the damage you did for each item you possesed, but it was removed in a patch. Currently you can enhance your Souleater from 10% added damage to 12% added damage with any Enhanced Souleater item.
Stacking multiple Souleater items supposedly lowers the amount of HP lost while keeping the high amount of damage added, but it's hard to test since you never know what your base damage is on a hit and thus you can't computer the actual HP loss/added damage figures (you would need to go hand-to-hand a high-def mob like Genbu where you'd always hit for 0 so you can see the exact damage delt).
Souleater (any Souleater, doesn't need to be enhanced) has a hidden effect of increased accuracy.Originally Posted by Russta
You can test this by going to a zone with VT or IT mobs, checking them for "Seems to have high evasion" or whatever the comment is, use Souleater and check again and their evasion rating will have gone down one level.
Stacking chaos burgeonet and gloom breastplate does not reduce hp lost. I tested this a few weeks back.
