From Sep 20 to Oct 21, a period of 31 days and 744 hours, these are the times the servers were down:

Oct. 10, 2005 10:00 to 16:00 (PDT) 6 hours.
Oct 13, 2005 8:00 to 20:00 (PDT) 12 hours.
Oct. 20, 2005 from 8:00 to 18:00 (PDT) 10 hours.

28 hours were spent on actual server maintenance, 3.76%. 3.76% isnt a lot you say ?? I have 2 accounts and an additional mule, and I'm in Canada. I pay a whooping 33.37 per month. If my calculations are right, Just on these retarded maintenances alone, I'm giving SE 1.25$ this month for nothing. That's my breakfast (a cookie and a bottle of water lol).

But if I want to be a dick, which I do, lets dig into their "DDoS" attacks.

All Worlds Login Recovery Oct. 15, 2005 from 2:15 to 7:16 (PDT) 5 hours.
PlayOnline Login Recovery Oct. 17, 2005 from 5:40 to 6:10 (PDT) 30 min.
PlayOnline Login Recovery Oct. 17, 2005 from 12:20 to 13:00 (PDT) 40 min.

a total of 21 Hours and 50 minutes on "recovery" time.

Let's tack on our 21 hours and 50 minutes to our allready high 28 hours, and we get 49.833 hours spent where servers were down, or impossible to get on if you were not on allready. 49.833 / 744 * 100 = 6.7%. If you remove 6.7% from what I pay per month, I get jewed out of 2.24$ this month. thats lunch (a slice of pizza and a can of coke).

2.24 CAD turns to 1.91 USD for the americans here.

You say thats not a lot ?? How many subscribers do they have ?? 4000 / server over 32 servers ?? 128000 seems low, but whatever, it'll work for now. 128000 * 1.91 = 244,480$ this month. SE is banking 244,480$ off each and every FFXI player for their downtime. I want to get a free 244,480$ in a month for my incompetance.

I plugged in 1.91, and I just noticed now that that number is fucked up, considering only a handful of ffxi players pay for 2 accts lol.
I'm too lazy to fix it.

At the following time we will be conducting PlayOnline server maintenance. During this period, FINAL FANTASY XI and Tetra Master will be unavailable.

The "Friend List Plus" feature, the "Q&A" feature, as well as the mail form available under the "Services & Support" section accessible from the official PlayOnline homepage (http://www.playonline.com/) will also be unavailable.

We realize that this is another interminable maintenance, not long after the previous Oct. 13 maintenance. However, we ask for your understanding and cooperation so we can strive to maintain the best service possible.

Umm slow and Haste belt have always stacked, as does Haste and Haste belt. One is an echantment, one is a spell, both of which neither override or cancel eachother out. Good try though. Haste belt is also 10% and Haste spell is 15%.
