No, thinking of fishing makes me sad.

Now the real question is, wtf do I do to try to make money with these random new pots. Im too lazy to figure it out, someone explain it to me.

You put the pots in your house like furniture, buy some seeds, plan them, and check on them everyday. And huzzah! You harvest some random shit.

Yeah I know that much. Which seeds, days, crystals etc are the ones Im looking for.

Uh.. never planted with those pots. But you could try tree saplings + thunder crystalx2 and harvest them on full moon lightningsday (or iceday) and hope for lightning ore.

Of course you never planted with those pots. Hence them being new pots nobody has done anything with yet. How often should I feed and on what day? (or does feeding day not matter?)

I'm sure this is totally foreign concept to most of the FFXI players... but you could actually just experiment for yourself?
Like you said, they are new pots. Chances are, even if someone DID knew some uber omgwtf recipe using those pots they probably wouldn't post it around teh intarweb.

Check the moon phase when planting and when harvesting, feeding day matters, too much thunder crystals on thundersday can be overfeeding and such, feed on a crescent phase or full moon etc. It's just like RL gardening I once got an ice ore and never again was lucky

I hate gardening, but I do like selling saplings and random products that drop from soloing a lowbie job in tahrongi/konschtat/la theine so I idly grow stuff in a mule's mog house.
