Question for BG's war/nin vs Fafnir

Axe+Ridill is best combination from my experience. Deal most damage in alliance with that combo, while tanking, so it's very powerful.

It's always a competition to see who can do the most dmg and die first for us at least, only fun left in that fight. I prefer pld/war personally over all the other combos because I don't like losing that extra 1 mp/tick lost from using march for Utsu recast timers.

Not only do I hold hate off that, I hold hate off the entire BLM pt doing that. People that bash pld/nin lack the skill to properly do it, its really that simple. The enmity of a pld, combined with never taking a hit, combined with flash, combined with spamming cure iv is the most hate control possible in the game, hands down. I laugh everytime I see someone post, "blahalh pld/nin was our backup cure lalabhalha".

Laugh all you want, its allowed us to kill almost every single NM in the game and to kill them quickly. We've never been flailed using pld/nin vs. fafnir, tiamat or jorm, so take what you want from hate control.

We've used PLD/NIN again tiamat one time. Im not aware of any other time we've ever tried to use it. It took 2 hours to kill it. Ever since then, we've used NINs and got the kill time to around 50-60 minutes. Jimmy, we used PLD/WAR...held hate fine...no flail.

As far as on fafnir...our PLD/WARs do not get hit too often with an efficient AA rotation going off. Thats aside from the wing spam that sometime will tear that up.

Tyche, AA rotation is bullshit because the PLD has to then depend on whatever mage to keep up with the AA. If the PLD was nin sub he'd be independent on keeping up shadows thus freeing up the mages for more useful actions, such as SMNs DD bloodpacts. From my experiences in BG, PLD/NIN owned PLD/WAR and NIN/WAR. It owned so much I'm levelling PLD myself so I can sub nin and never get hit while retaining hate. Its fan-fucking-tastic.

However, as Xavier said, don't even laugh at it if you aren't skilled to do it.
