forget about the SH if you cant afford it, imo if you can tank well without the best equip..that would make you better with whatever you're missing..

its part of the fun really..when u "crave" to get such item and feel gimped for a long time...and once you get it you'll feel really happy because of what you been through..

i used SH+1 from 57-64, and generally ptd w/a thf...in the late 60s, however, i started pt'ing w/jobs that could do actualy dmg and started having hate issues...i sold the SH+1 and switched over to 4/5 arhats+1 and omg...i cant count the number of times that i would get comments like 'farshaw is really a pld in disguise' and 'wtf, did you do to it? it didnt even look at me when <insert hate stealing act here>' i was actually pt'ing w/a pld in one pt *for prime avatar onry* and shit started to go downhill cause the mages were idiots, so the pld goes invincible and shiva doesnt even look at him

I think you'll do just fine with arhat Gi after AF. I never had the chance to level nin through the 60s after the release of sushi, but before sushi, af ---> arhat worked pretty well for me. An economical setup through the 60s would be arhat set, str rings, nq amemet, elusive earrings if you can afford them if not melody earrings when you have brd and dodgex2 without, and maybe a swift belt if you have the time. You probably won't be some dmg mammoth like the guy a few posts above, but if you play it right I don't think anyone would complain about your nin in a regular xp party.

saying your casting utsusemi in pt chat is probably the most annoying battle spam out there, if you really care, put it in /echo as a recast timer.

But like : /p so-and-so casting Utusemi <call1>
