question: is proto-ultima beatable with 12~14 people? we have 4 to 5 blms

also, i remember somebody mentioned that there are chests with unknown contents on the way to proto-ultima, has anybody tried opening them and see what they do? if not, what do they look like? blue/gold rimmed/plain wood?

also, how hard was it for people that fought proto-omega with 12 people?

Proto-Ultima is the devil. That is all. It's hard enough with 18, I think it would be ridiculously hard with 12. You'd probably need backup tanks more than you'd need the extra blms, since it has a few moves that can one-shot a tank (antimatter for 1500 dmg unblinkable ftw) and of course citadel buster, the aoe move of death.

Proto-Ultima is fucking hard... I am positive we will win on our second trip, but that's just because we've seen all it's moves and know how to setup now. This is one BC that I would rate as extremely difficult to win on your first try.

i've heard the area time limit is 60 minute... without a wipe, does it take that long to kill ultima?

We had him to 20% in 30 minutes. At this point he's pissed. Took him from 20% to 14% in the next 30 minutes. Much XP was lost.

We haven't figured out how to stun countdown, but if you plan correctly it's not even a big deal...you just gotta figure that part out.

I am fairly confident that if you know what to do he's beatable in like 30 mins.

Antimatter is single target damage, citadel buster is the countdown+spikeflail-type damage
