Sept, where do you get all your info about it? I know somewhere someone had posted a link to a thread with a lot of stuff about the quests and weapons, but you seem to know so much more >.>

My NPC is only level 34 and I take him out whenever I'm soloing which is usually EP/DC stuff so he doesn't level that fast, but I know I've called him enough time to get him at least his 2nd weapon upgrade and stuff so I'm kinda curious. Would love to speed it up.

These are the two biggest NPC discussions that I have read, and most of the information seems to be fairly solid. Beyond that, you pick up a few things when you level your NPC to 60.

You have to be wary of the level ranges, just because the mob is too weak to you, it may still be 10+ levels higher than your NPC. Fighting mobs that were too week to Zoldof, his melee damage was between 150-250 with criticals going over 300, and he threw out Raging Rush for 600-800 damage on average, with a few breaking 900. (His lower level Weapon skills were sometimes under his average melee damage though. ;_; ) On mobs that are VT to him, I will easily out TP Zoldof with my Joyeuse, but on weaker mobs he keeps up quite well.

I've heard people say that letting your NPC die worsens your NPC relationship. That doesn't seem to be true (it won't take away things that you have earned like headwear and appearance locking), I guess it does affect clothing progression though.

I was fighting a mob, I went afk for less then a minute, and I came back and she was dead. Apparently a moblin popped nearby and she used an AoE ws to get its attention. X)

Actually, I found out that mobs can link onto NPCs. Axes have no AoE weaponskills, but there were several incidents in Movoplois when mobs would start attacking Zoldof when we were fighting Goblins, Bugbears, or Moblins.

I had level 2 beastmen armor until I called him this morning...now he's level 1 Bastok. I'd care but eh, where I usually end up taking him out changes every week and I don't care THAT much. Maybe when he gets higher and I can start doing more quests and taking him out more.

Don't worry about getting the NPC good armor until you can lock. Or else you can easily lose all your work.

btw that DPS thing is bs since the weapon you give them changes. They get some sort of custom weapon that isn't the one you give them.

I base it on what is nice to chain with, which is GKT in most cases since almost anyone can chain with some GKT WS. Though I still use my preferred so I hope he uses Hobaku or something
