After a lot of dedicated leveling, I finallt pimped out Zoldof's (my NPC Fellow) apperance. Check out the hotness.

Fortunatly you can lock in gear that you want. I may change the hand and foot armor eventually, but I like this look for now.

It has to do with your relationship with your NPC. You improve your relationship by calling him/her, doing quests from Luto, and by upgrading weapons. You worsen your relationship by dropping your Signal Pearl. (Dropping your Tactics Pearl does not hurt your relationship.)

When your relationship is high enough (I think about the 4th weapon upgrade), a new option in the "Appearance" menu when you are at the Rendezvous Point called "Fashionable Equipment". You NPC will ask you what looks good on him/her, you can choose between body, hands, legs, feet, or none. When you select one of the body parts it will lock it until you select none, which will unlock all pieces. (People used to think that you could only lock one item, and locking one would unlock any others, this seems not to be the case.)

I think they do. My NPC got hume RSE pants and she has noticable more MP now. Or at least I think she does.

How many freaking Zoldofs are running around anyway? I've seen like three others on Bahamut aside from mine... Oh well, my NPC is still level 30 anyway. I don't need or want another level grind.

Sept, where do you get all your info about it? I know somewhere someone had posted a link to a thread with a lot of stuff about the quests and weapons, but you seem to know so much more >.>

My NPC is only level 34 and I take him out whenever I'm soloing which is usually EP/DC stuff so he doesn't level that fast, but I know I've called him enough time to get him at least his 2nd weapon upgrade and stuff so I'm kinda curious. Would love to speed it up.

Mine is level 44 or 45 and has the 4rth weapon. I've gotten a tactics pearl and done the Jugner lake ??? quest and so far I still only have bronze cap and facegaurd as options, no ability to lock in. I'm going to try to get to level 6 clothing though (never XPed in same regional control often enough to get that high before) to see if that opens it.

I think the ability to lock clothing comes at a high level. I got mine at 56 and I think sept got his at 57.

Yeah the melee npc's arent to bad. Mines lvl 39 and it hit Aqua with shield break for 150.. Not bad for a lvl 39
