I picked it up yesterday, and it is incredibly awesome.

Now I just need to get a new charger for my DS, since the last one "broke." -.- Nothing like getting a new game and having no battery to play.

well you need the game, the DS, an 802.11b or g wireless router or the Nintendo Wi-Fi USB thing that should come out later this month.

ad-hoc mode is PSP for DS it's just wireless download play. And no you dont need anything but 2 DS' and I'm pretty sure you only need one copy of the game

no cord slot in a DS at all except for the charger slot. To play download play the person with the game has to go to that option in the game. Then he will create a room. Now the other 1-3 players have to go to "Download Play" on the DS start up menu and then the DS will search for any game rooms near you and then all you have to do is select the one you want and wait for the data to download then you're all set.

Edit: Forgot to mention. If more then one game is needed it will be Multicard wireless play. And for that both players have to go to multiplayer in the game then one has to create a room and the other will have to join that room.
