Anyone think this might posess hidden powers simalar to HQ staves? or be completly useless? and do you think anyone will ever be willing to find out lol

There was never any proof presented, just hopeful conjecture. If someone actually finishes this and says it gives +20% I might believe them. Hell, everyone used to say that the relic horn didn't affect ballad

The only concrete info out there is when you use a WS you get refresh effect. Everything else is just random contradictory stuff people say.

It's to bad it costs so much to find out. if it could somehow be confirmed as something like 20% then you would throw it in the pile of useful relics, along with shield and horn.

No for the price it's not worth it. It would have to be like 70 magic attack bonus to be worth the money. XD Horn is much more useful then that.

HQ staves already give you a flat 15% damage bonus after all other variables have been factored into your total spell damage. If the relic staff gives Magic Attack Bonus+20, it would bring a BLM75's existing MAB of 1.32 to 1.52, which is only a 15% increase in damage and the same as an HQ staff. If it provides a flat +20% damage bonus, then it's slightly better than HQ staves... but a 5% difference isn't worth the trouble.

Although, I guess it gives BLMs an excuse to melee for the self-refresh WS, which is kinda cool. Totally worth the money.

It has been CONFIRMED that there is NO -avatar perpetuation on this staff. As such, there is a very good chance there is no MAB on it either.

The refresh effect is nothing amazing:
8mp/tick for 20s @ 100% tp (About 56mp)
8mp/tick for 40s @ 200% tp (About 104 mp)
8mp/tick for 60s @ 300% tp (About 160 mp)

In most calculations, Spirit Taker will result in more mp returned.

Shield and Horn seem to be the most useful. I'd give Excalibur 2nd place (if used on the same guy as relic shield.../drool, I'm hoping my LS's big tank can get that combo).

I'm still heading for Mandau, it's the best I'll ever get for thf and well no one else in my LS is committed enough to attempt to upgrade so I get to sponsor a lot

And currently on thf I do more dmg than most of our DD's so it won't hurt to improve my dmg XD

Horn > Shield > Great Katana

Thats only if the GKT does alot of damage. The fact that it makes light onto light is sweet.

100 GSer on Titan recently got the Club. (2nd relic for him. Supposedly hes almost done with his 3rd)
