Hrmmm ok got my ship now and I realize I need to head to the continent west got any hints on where I disembark at? I went between the 2 continents and saw the city up above but saw no where to dock the ship ><

Depending on your level getting to the continent can be hard, cause the mosters' lvl differs in certain spots of the ocean, so you need to carefully look at your map and travel somewhat in the middle of the two continents.

Um...how can I say this without a pic, but on the map, you see how the western continent is divided in two?

Well, travel through that river or w/e that divides the western continent then head south, you should arrive into a town if you keep hugging the walls south.

Just thought i would like to say that this game is awesome. I would say its the best traditional RPG i played since the release of FF9. I really recommend buying it. You get your money's worth out of it with the good storyline and gameplay it contains. also it is a pretty lengthy game.

Was wondering if anyone can clarify me on something though, is Dragonquest the same as DragonWarrior from the NES days ? I think it is, but not sure.

I find all the bosses not too hard; I just keep casting buff spells till my attributes are really high, then i kill. Later on in the game though, i think u experience it for the first time at the dark ruin island, the bosses have a really annoying attack that remove any buffs u have, which really makes them a lot harder to kill; who doesn't like a challenge though =). Just do some lvling and u will be fine.

I recommend not buying anything at the first casino. Save all your coins until you get to the second casino and start playing roulette. Here is the tip to get the most coins as fast as possible.

1. Save your game at church near the 2nd casino.

2. If you have more than 1000 coins, go to step 4.

3. Play roulette, betting all your coins to blue/red or even/odd until you have more than 1000 coins (500 is bet limit). If you lose, reset and try again. Once you're done, go back and save.

4. Divide your coins by 42, call that number "LIMIT".

5. Bet each LIMIT like the chart here http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c295/ ... table2.gif
Note: In DQ8, there are only 27 numbers, but you get the idea.

6. Now you have about 1/3 chance to hit a big win. If you dont hit it, reset and try again.

7. After a few wins, you'll realize your earnings have multiplied like crazy. Once you are at 500 limit per bet, every time you win, you will earn about 40,000 - 50,000 coins. Every time you win, go back and save.

8. Have fun shopping. Buy that armor for 50,000 coins, it will last you til the end game. The "Falcon Sword" can also be useful.

thought I should point out that this works like a charm, I spent about 8 hours and made 1 million tokens, got lots of uber stuff heheheh. Thanks a ton kuno!
