He pulled out a big fuck off vile elixir+1 out of his ass.
Twice.
Good stuff.
he make sit look so easy that it's almost a shame people have trouble defeating him as rdm.

I know Grendal melee'd Maat to death @ 75 (for fun) but did this guy do it at 70? Vile Elixers make it sound lame but if he did it then well done to him. I'm content beating Maat the normal way using a Yagudo Drink and the panic button.
RDM is NOT hard, anyone who can't sleep/nuke doesn't know how to play RDM. I mean, we get convert for fk sake, so it's not like BLM maat where you could run out of MP. I beat maat on my first try, it took abtou 3-4 minutes. People who have trouble beating maat as RDM just don't know what they are doing.Originally Posted by Zigma

yeah, if you cant make a macro that does sleep/nuke you shouldnt even be playing,
i watched my friend do his maat fight as soon as he got in
maat did diaga then kicked off with chainspelled paralize
and then he got 2 aursan fists in a row
and then 2nd time he got another 2 ausran fists back to back
maat was almost gone too
lol but when he won the 3th time, maat didnt even get to do any WS hehe
or anything
so dont tell me that OFMG its aLL SKILLZ! n00b!
even people with the know-how get shafted over on that fight,
that is FFXI :D +25 Murphy's Law
what is sad is a THF that took 15+ tries to beat his Maat
if ya on my server haha its clear who am talkin aboot
and double lolz on BLM maat
I mean.... your kidding right?
Maat sometimes can be very hard; sometimes you get lucky. Sometimes he throws out a paralyze that owns your Chainspell (heard of this happening before); sometimes he doesn't sleep for anything. Also keep in mind that he used to be much harder and they have toned him down from what he used to be (which is where the word about RDM Maat being so hard got started).
Anyway, that guy had 25+mill in DD gear, not many 70 RDM's will have that, nor Joyeuse. And I don't know the potions he used but he was using a ton of 'em, had to be costly.
Cool video, nonetheless.
It was cool but wasn't THAT impressive. He was far, far, far from flawless.
All they toned down was that Maat used to use Fire III, a Lv. 71 RDM spell.Originally Posted by Benadar
I never managed to get Maat slept ever. I lost 8 times ><, this was back in March/April/May of last year, I couldn't even afford elemental staffs as they were around 1mil on Titan.
No asuran fists.. he got too lucky.
wow, Janeru is so leet
He had Speed Belt, but very impressive altogether.

And no, Joft, it's just not as hard as people make it out to be, as long as you know what you're doing.
