LMAO! What the fawk? I never heard of that. Deformed humes, what did they look like, something out of Everquest? I have some really old FFXI videos, like the first TGS/E3 trailers that had nothing but concept art and a beta-logo in them. None the Pre-NA Release videos I have are fan made though.

before CoP:
the entrances to Movalpolos were just caves.
the tiger nests in jugner that lead to carpenter's landing were just caves.
gusgen's exit to Movalpolos was a dead end.
Crag's all have three telepoint's, one goes to promy, one goes to sea.
Northern sea always existed.....

It's just planning ahead. But there's never anything obvious about the existing deadends in the game. there have always been green portals up in Ru'Aun.

That video was great. But wasn't that a flying Fafnir? I wonder how hard Faffy would be if he knew how to fly...

And like none of the armor in that video is in the game. In color or model from what I saw, but you only get small glimpses.

That video makes me want to experience FFXI as a newbie all over again

If it wasn't for the absurd prospect of doing all of Zilart and CoP missions over again, as well as needing gear from the overcamped 3kings, I could see making a new char on a dif server just to re-experience the game as being pretty fun.

I remember seeing a video like that when the game was being made too. Models had a slightly less realistic look, but more importantly, Square clearly has a fetish for fking Fafnir. He was in half of that promotional video.

I remember the first FFXI movie i saw, It was a M Hume running around, and ran over a bride and such, it was suprizingly really long, but I cant remember if it was anything but a guy running around.

I can guarantee 100% that the new exp won't involve that boat in Norg, wanna know how? No expansion has ever required a zone from another expansion is order to participate in it. So as such, they can't really require you to go out and buy RoZ so that you have access to Norg, so that then you can finally get access to a ToA area.

I thought I read somewhere (on POL I think) that they are going to require you to have CoP, to have access to something related to ToA. Let me see if I can find it.

Its not toally out of the question. It's SE, they are a business, and having an expansion, require another expansion, is a great way to gain profit.

Yeah I don't see why you haven't needed one expansion to get another so far.

If you ask me it's just been SE being "nice" (lol) so far. I wouldn't expect past performance to predict future results.
