Hello Everyone,

I have a question for fellow bonecrafters out there. I'm am attempting to craft myself a Genie Weskit. I am 100+2 bonecraft, 60+1 leathercraft, and 60 alchemy. I'm trying to avoid critical failures, so I put 76 yellow jars in my moghouse for mog enhancement: earth. I just tried to sign my first attempt on Full Moon Earthsday 98%, with bonecraft support and I got a critical failure, 5M loss.

I watched some friends of mine have someone craft them 14 weskits in a row on New Moon Darksday and the crafter ended up with 5/14 being critical failures and no HQs.

I am wondering if maybe it is better to get support for one of the subskills? Is anyone else seeing bad failure rates? To the ones out there that have succeeded in making one, I would appreciate any advice you could give me. Thank you for your time,

pray to the FF gods for a Genie is all you can do. I'm currently 0/19 no my 2nd Genie. I know of some people on Remora that are 40+ and still no HQ

More subs = higher break.

I'd *guess* that synths w/o subs has 5% brake rate, 1 sub 10%, 2 subs 15% etc. Anyone can confirm this?

I cannot confirm that the break rate being 15%, since that would involve crafting a tier0 synth a few hundred times to get a big enough sample to prove anything...

One thing though... I have been noticing high break rates with multicraft synths...

One other thing... Has anyone noticed that they lose materials in "sets"? For example, if I fail a synth and lose one half of the ingredients, the next fail I get will lose the half I didn't lose from the first failure... Is it just me or does this happen to others as well?

I've made 9 or so at 103 skill, 63 leather 60 alch. 0 break 0 HQ, I'm fine with that ;o Got 2 more to make soon, such a pain in the ass to gather all the materials sometimes though.

I guess i'm running into some bad luck. Earlier today after I tried making my weskit, I attempted to make a SH. Well I Fail, lose my vemonous claw. I lost all my gil in one day, total loss of 18M(by far more gil than it costs to get bonecraft to 100). I guess it was my own fault for taking the risk. Better luck next time.

Dunno about far more than. Cost me a good 6-7 mil to get from 72-87 bone. So many coral fragments gone, just to be NPCed for 3k.

I haven't actually attempted to make any weskits yet, but from what it looks like.... I'm in for some fun to make my own Genie. Haven't lost any ven. claws yet, worst thing I've lost is an angel skin.

But yea... 18 mil gone in one day... think I'd break out my rum for a good bit.

Well I made a ton of profit from 68-82.
68-71 I made Vivified Coral.
71-75 I made Coral Hairpins.
75-78.? I made Coral Gorgets.
78.?-80 I made Reraise Hairpins.
80-82 I made Reraise Gorgets.

The Reraise Hairpins yeilded me about 60k profit each, and the Reraise Gorgets about 30k profit each. It took me a few months to sell all of them, but it was well worth it. This took a big chunk out of my overall cost of leveling Bonecraft to 100. I think in the end I was down 5M. I continued to make reraise hairpins until the market got flooded and people started to undercut me by 10k+ per hairpin/gorget.

I didn't use a single coral fragment 0-100. Tigerfangs to 78. Saintly Ring and Eremite's Ring to 82. Dragon Masks to 87.

Paranoos on rag is 1/98 on HQ, not sure on breaks.
