Laptop to play FFXI on?

Hey guys, just wondering if anyone can give any good recommendations on a laptop to play FFXI on? I was looking to spend $800 or under, so I can't go all out and get some crazy one.

Also, anything I should look for specifically in one to play online games on? (processor, graphics card, etc.)

My laptop is now 2.5 years old and plays ffxi ok. Not great; I prefer playing on a desktop computer, but its ok.

515mb ram
ATI IGP 320m / 64mb
athlon 1700+

Was fairly expensive when I bought it, but you can probably get one with similar specs fairly cheap now.

256 MB of ram, 2 year old-processor, decent network card. Video card is almost irrelevant.

FFXI does not require a lot to run it at normal/peak settings.

Try looking at a Dell Inspiron B130. Currently selling at under 500 bucks, its not a bad choice. Built in wireless networking is optional. I got one for Christmas since my PS2 was about to take its final breath (doesn't even read discs reliably anymore). I had to blow $99 at Bestbuy on more RAM for the laptop since it only comes with 256 MB shared, and that won't run FRAPS, FFXI and Ventrilo, but with the extra RAM I pushed it up to 768 MB. It's a step down from playing on a full-blown gaming PC like I have at home but the laptop comes in handy when I'm traveling on business and need my FFXI fix . Good luck.

Well , i am currently using dell inspirion 6000 to play ffxi .

1.86 pentium M centrino
512 mb 533mhz ram
128mb Radeon X300

doesnt lag in dynamis , hnm , party whatsoever

got it for about US$1000 . S$1700 (bought this at singapore and its considered very cheap)

also imo , its important to look at the ram speed .

ive got a 1024mb 266mhz ram in my old laptop but it does not work as well as my 512mb 533mz ram

That's my laptop I got for free. I'm happy I didn't paid for it... It can run ffxi but in Low Res mode and my PS2 version pwnz it. But it's handy for when I'm in a situation where I can't leave the screen. Since there's Centrino Wireless technology, I'll take it in the bathroom with me If I have to ^^;
