To put it in a word "HELP"
We attempted this, defeated every monster except the dragon, had 30 minutes left, and he whooped us bad. Any suggestions?

Holy Water.
Bring stunners with quick reflexes.
Easier than Ash Dragon, heh.. go practice on him.
skillchain and magic burst
It fights a lot like Ash Dragon, was pretty much a pushover with good stunners and 18 people
this is the correct way to defeat EVERY HNM IN THE GAME more efficientlyOriginally Posted by mdn

Pull him to the room in front of where you find him.
Have melees stand at the bottom, and mages at the top of the ledge to avoid AOE.
Bring some chainspell stun if you want to be safe.
Here is a simple diagram that should clear everything up:
Dragon: D
People with Utsusemi: U
Range of bodyslam: r
Mages: M
Range of nukes/heals: R
Worthless melee without utsusemi: W
DU rMR W
kekekeke
Worthless melee without utsusemi: W
-plus make sure you have everyone who is engaging the dragon have shadows (utsusemi)Originally Posted by Julian

-Stun the dragon after every void song so melee can recast utsusemi.
Good luck!
Dont fight the dragon last. When we did it our first time we saved him for last and he whomped us pretty good. We came back with CS stun and took him out first... took us 30seconds to kill him. I think as you defeat monsters on this lvl the others gain strength till there is only ONE o.o.
HIGHLANDER!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm inclined to believe this... the monsters were more difficult as we beat them.
More casters seriously need to use the Distance windower plugin. If you're less than 15 units away from the mob, you're way too close. Max spellcasting range is 20-23 units, depending on differences in elevation. It helps a lot when fighting anything that moves around so you know exactly when to stop approaching the mob yet still be out of AOE range.
People were standing out of aoe range long before the distance plugin existed, it's not exactly hard to do. If people need the distance plugin for that, then god help us all.
people didnt need TParty to make skillchains, nor did they need bloodpayce to check their BP recasts...but they serve the same thing as distance plugin:
to make shit easier.
They should just know how far they should be from the past time they fought dragons >.>;
Ding ding ding. Right answer. Anyone who needs the distance plugin to get out of AoE range should be promptly made fun of.Originally Posted by DrObvious
