Has anyone tried the new food from the last patch? or do we know what it does?

I think they are listed on somepage already. Black pudding etc right?
there is an AoE food called Bec du Chocolate or something like that. Give MP healed while resting+
BLM used it while i was in a BLM pty, i was the BRD so i got no benefit from it and had it on me for 3 hours
If you're going to use this food ask your party first lol
List of AoE foods at somepage:

thanks
So if you use the food the other PT members can't use food of their own?Originally Posted by Daahan
nope, just like any other identical foods that don't overlap.Originally Posted by Totien
When the BLM used the Chocolate thing, i couldn't use my Pamama for 3 hours lol
No, they can't... after the update I went to Limbus as mnk. Tried to eat food (and thought I ate it) and noticed my stats were all wrong. I thought something was wrong with my character at first then realized someone must have used AoE food near me -.-Originally Posted by Totien
finally a use for antacid!
Now if only they had AE versions of good foods, like meat and hedgehog pie...I'd so eat them and force melees to stop eating Sushi on VT/low IT mobs...
Use them in Dunes ._.;
"Why are you hitting 0s? Don't you use food?"
wtf is the point of aoe food...
"oops i used aoe food your all fucked for 3hours, sorry"
Yeah, responsibility is on the user to not fuck this up..but if the melee eats food first then the AoE has no effect.
In our Ruhmet manaburn today we used Dusky Indulgence, and it worked quite nicely.
Same stats as Melon Pie +1, 4hr effect, and hit all 5 of the Blms. Basically 20 Melon Pie +1 wrapped into one. The mats for it are relatively cheap, we got for 40k off AH, though price will prob nice.
This is really the only one of the AOE foods I see useful however.
This is obviously for lower levels looking at the caps, don't compare it to high level food.
my low lvl burn pt used a black pudding. was just slightly less than the melon+1 i had used but i think it had hmp.. and 3 hours was pretty nice.
Melon +1 has 2 HMP, pudding NQ has 1Originally Posted by pimpp
All of the AoE food is bad, even at low lvls. Part of the reason is that there is no food all 6 jobs in your PT will get best use out of. Who other than the Pld needs AoE crab food? Who besides melees need AoE +Attack food? Even the "DD foods" don't compare to Rice Dumplings at their lvl.Originally Posted by BRP
The only other food I can see even having slight benefits is the +4 HMP food for a PT's Rdm + Whm.
Then you would realize that one of your party members doesn't have capped weapon merits and can't hit for shit... ^_^Originally Posted by MisterBob

A few of the AOE sweet foods do have some uses, as mentioned above; manaburn parties should find them worthwhile. Assuming the current stats are complete, most of the Stewpot foods seem fairly useless -- even in the Dunes, you'd probably be better handing out Meat Jerky and Ginger Cookies/Apple Pies to any n00b group you're in. It's possible the Seafood Stewpot could prove worth the cost, if you're in a melee-heavy lowbie group; there aren't that many +Accuracy foods at that level, since base Accuracy isn't high enough for sushi.
