I have excalibur and have been testing this with joy in offhand and Kraken. So far I havent gotten a chance for this to proc. What I find interesting is that second to last hit being quite a bit weaker than the others and the proc going off. It gives the impression that this did indeed happen.

Will test a bit longer to see if it does proc and try to post a screenshot that doesnt make you go blind.

Thats a pic of a RDM/NIN with Excalibur dual wielding it and a joyeuse. If you notice in the pic the add effect went off 3x in a row, which means the add effect procs on the offhand weapon also, in this case a joyeuse. That being the case, it might not be as good as the shield and horn, but it would certainly be worth the cost to me.

If that is indeed a rdm/nin, why is an excalibur hitting for marginally more damage than a joyeuse ?

Joyeuse is like +90% damage to piercing-weak mobs and i'm sure excalibur isn't

if you're getting a lv 5 relic weapon to farm, theres better weapons to get to make more money

if you're going out to farm, theres jobs that farm faster than rdm and pld

if you had the money to get a lvl 5 relic weapon, you probably had better methods to make money than tree cuttings

Looks like a triple-attack of excal to me.
If it can proc on the offhand, show it procing on excal / ceremonial dagger, something where we can obviously see the difference in damage.

On bats it so happens that +50% (?) piercing dmg makes joytoy = 52 dmg base, too close to excal base (49) to prove that one hit came from one or another.

I'm certain that triple proc is the result of a lag glitch. I've seen someone use shark bite or something like that on fafnir 4-5x in a row as a result of a server hiccup, not just animation, but shown in the log as well. Almost positive this is the same thing.
