Sweet! Thanks for the heads up. My wife and I were debating about seeing it tomorrow (Saturday) night or not. I saw previews for it when I saw Hostel and when I saw Saw II, It seemed VERY interesting to say the least. I kind of wanted someones opinion of it before making a decision, Thx again! ^^
hostel has nothing on this movie, saw 2 was good but i liked this way more. the audience was cheering at certain points.
Hostel sucked, SawII was great. So I guess ill see this movie. I kind of looked at it as a House of 1000 corpses movie.
I could not possibly agree with you more.Hostel sucked, SawII was great. So I guess ill see this movie. I kind of looked at it as a House of 1000 corpses movie.
Anyone seen Shaun of the Dead? That movie actually made me laugh out loud a few times. Evil Dead anyone?
Then again, so does Ali G. Maybe I'm in to British humor.
Hahaha Shaun if the Dead was fucking halarious.. I regret not seeing it till just 2 months ago.Originally Posted by Jerseyprophet
I watch Shaun of the Dead every time it comes on HBO lol. That shit is so good. Love when they're throwing records at the 2 zombies and he can't decide which ones to throw.
Lol, Shaun was such a hilarious movie, however I had to use subtitles to understand their British accent.
Ali G. is brilliant, as is Shaun of the dead - Snatch is an all time favorite as well.Originally Posted by Jerseyprophet
Snatch is an all time classic of our time, absolutely.
Saw The Hills have Eyes last night, it was nuts to say the least, alot of graphic gore (which rocks). someparts sucked, but it was an allright movie IMO.
Hm, I might go see it this week. I love movies like this.Originally Posted by Brendam

Yea watching people die horribley gruesome deaths with no chance at you walking away with any sort of moral impact is great. It's funny, every year more and more disturbing graphic movies come out and our society sucks it in and feeds off it like an animal. I mean how far are we away from watching real life people get raped or even snuff films?
The line is blurred more every year and the only thing we forfeit is our own morality. Something happened to horror films where they lose their interest in scaring you as much as they try to just mentally disturb you with extremely grahpic images, because it's all they can do anymore to get a rise out of people. Normal scare tactics won't work when you can watch someone get mauled or kill a baby and you can practically laugh it off.
These movies are no different than playing a video game like Resident Evil. Correct me if I'm wrong, but are you saying I lack morals if I enjoy a good horror flick?Originally Posted by Klever

Your definetly dodging my point while comparing apples to oranges. If your gonna compare Resident Evil to movies that come out now, you might as well compare mario bros. to it. Nothing is wrong about a scary movie, but people are watching less and less scary and just straight up macarbe sometimes. There is a big diffrence.
Go ahead and make it sound like im saying all scary movies are bad, its probably the only way your mind can even wrap around this concept.
Movies are for entertainment, as are video games. You're stating that our morals are downsizing every year because of the fact that the type of horror movies people enjoy in this day and age aren't quite what they used to be 30 years ago, so to speak. I don't think this is necessarily the case. Movies in general have to change with the times to keep people interested.
Dracula and Freddy Kruger got old after middle school. Watching zombies eat people and getting a kick out of it doesn't make me a horrible person.
Youre gonna grow up to be one of those parents who try to take violent and guro movies/games off of the shelves.Originally Posted by Klever

I dont give a fuck that you watch it, own it, or even make it. I just think it's our own downfall as a society if we keep desensitizing ourselves to extreme violence. Your a bitch and cant distinguish the diffrence.
Jesus loves you, but everyone else just thinks you're an asshole.
I hate having this sort of morality forced down my throat.
Here ya go, he's my answer to his proposal that we're needing more and more as we go;
I hope this link works.

There's a link to the movie itself in the body of the blog entry.
I know what youre getting at, but thats not the point. If you think that youre being desensitized youre wrong. Its a whole completely diffrent thing when it comes to rl.Originally Posted by Klever
I dont care if you play video games and watch violent movies. A NORMAL person can not do the same irl.
Ill blow heads off without a second thought in a game. But IRL? Ok, wow.. im not fucked up enough to do that.
