Christianity is ABSOLUTELY not against corpral punishment. Try going to a private christian/catholic school and smart off to a nun. Most of the ones I encountered during my short stay at one such school in the 6th grade didn't hesitate to grab me and throw me in a corner or rap my knuckles with a ruler in class if I wasn't paying attention.
