    BLU Spells

    Stolen from a couple threads and mashed together. Locations and mobs are guesses. Looks like a lot of sleep abilities, dunno how well that will work. Nothing hugely interesting if you're thinking of taking it as a sub... actually I dunno if it will be any use as a sub at all. A few interesting abilities at high level but nothing that looks like a big win like COR who can be MP whores. The lower magic defence ability will probably be good on zerg mobs where you can swap a BLU in and out.

    Some of the wording is pretty inconsistant... bomb toss for instance doesn't mention fire damage or it being AE but you'd assume it would be. A few interesting surprises on elements that make me wonder if it's true of the original ability, like wind damage for flying hip press...

    I think the reason a lot of the abilities seem to repeat themselves is they're all tagged as the species they were learned from and the intimidation cycle applies.

    sucks that most of the cool abilities BLU gets are AoE or cone....so BLU will need TP+MP to use Blue Magic? most of those descriptions say "Varies with TP"

    It will work like avatars.

    You need MP to use them, but the amount of TP can effect the spell. You can use it with 0TP, but if sure the effects/dmg will be better @300%

    I'm gonna be pissed if I get high lvl then some a new spell gets released in the future that's a really nice WS but only comes from low level mobs.

    That's a good ass point...

    I can't even think about a plausible fix SE might do. Maybe they'll put them in an a level capped BC or ENM as well.

    I can't think of a mob family that you cannot get exp from at 75 (including NM).

    Cardins, Clots, various CoP rehashed mobs with new WSes (bats, bombs etc). Im sure theres more.

    Clots > Got me here, not that much experience with these. What do they have really different than normal jelly mobs?

    CoP is mostly level cap areas, so you will gain exp thus being able to learn skill. Bats in Aqueducts, bombs in Pso'Xja and Uleguerand.

    Sheep highest sheep mob is 37 highest level sheep nm is 42 though .

    *most* you can still get exp at 75 in some form. Sheep Song is probably pretty good

    They could add a single high level version of the mob that pops 21-24 somewhere in the middle of nowhere, just for that.

    So this job is about seeing how many friends you can drag along with you to kill certain types of mobs, or be a soloable job, or wait until you're a higher level you can kill them yourself. I don't know if this sounds that fun.

    The only mob that doesn't have a Higher Level Version is the Sheep and the Bugard.


    Rams, Rabbits, ect. can be found in places to give XP at 75.

    Flytraps, ect can be found in level capped areas that give XP. It might not be difficult for them to add new areas that these new animals can be found in.





    Also If the Physical Chain doesn't set your TP to 0, Blue Mage can self-skillchain more efficiently than SAM. I believe that Blue Chain will REPLACE Sword WS's [lets face it, outside of the "PLD/DRK/WAR" Vorpal Blade and Swift Blade, Sword WS's aren't that grand]

    I'm thinking, BLU will get TP with their sword, And use that TP to open, say, Distortion with Bludgeon. Using Sword just as a mechanic to get your TP for WS's [maybe it needs 100% unlike an Avatar, Time will tell]
