Archaic Mirrors??

Any idea where or what they are for. I've seen on the Besieged Map that a few of the zones have 1 listed but I have no idea how you find them or what to use them for.

I found one doing a COR Quest... its a NM Mirror Thingy.. it doesnt aggro.. i didnt fight it because I was solo.

I found one near the 2nd locked gate on my way to Dvucca staging point.

It's just a little bit south east of the 2nd locked gate, it's on a higher level that I can't get to though, but you can target it and see it from below.

it doesnt fight back, and goes down in about 20 seconds. it dropped this item that i traded in to a gate guy for 200 is points. i think it lessens the chances for besieged to happen tho >.>

Everything you need to know about Archaic Mirrors:

1. They are scattered around in several locations throughout each beastman territory.

2. They have around 1k hp.

3. Fighting one will not cause surrounding monsters to link on you.

4. They drop a rare/ex Archaic Mirror!

5. You get 200 IS for each Archaic Mirror you turn in.

6. Destroying the mirror will somehow weaken the beastmen.

I have killed 2 of these things, they are not really all that amazing. Apparently the Trolls don't really mind having fire spewing worms mysteriously appear and start destroying their ancient relics and weakening their power. It would be much cooler if trolls started running through the caves after you if you killed it.

The mirrors do not attack back, they just sit and take it.

I heard that the mirrors are used to spawn/train the beastmen that would attack your city. It make sense because if you look at the regional besieged map and check the enemy areas, if there's a couple mirrors there then you'll notice that at the top there are also some enemy troops training or something like that.

Anyone find any conformation about this?

I think beseiged is only going to happen if alot of people further themselves into the story, so they can see why they're protecting the astral cansendence, otherwise alot of people will be cluelless. So try getting everyone at least to the mission at jeuno, or past that.

Besieged will start happening as the people do less Assault missions. Everyone started with 3 but only get 1 a day, so things will slow down when it comes to that.

And whatever I read about them patching that today? I'm thinking things will speed up as they train up.

I have noticed that the beastman count has been increasing tremendously since the update yesterday. The troll count is up to 55 now, and i'm just standing around town waiting for them to invade.

All the mirrors do is make the beastmen stronger should they win a Besieged.
