Knight's earring or Suppanomimi ?

Tomorrow, we will do this hellish Divie Might.
I was at first considering to take the Suppanomimi in case of success, but since the last Paladin's upgrade, I hesitate now with the Knight's earring...


Here are the stats :

Knight's Earring - Lv.72 Vitality +2, Shield Skill +5, Divine Magic Skill +5
Suppanomimi - Lv.72 Agility +2, Enhances Dual Wield Effect, Sword Skill +5

i would never use knightly earring, use my supp earring alot, the +5 sword skill is hot, where as the +5 shield skill is meh, only think about getting shield earring if your going for full shield build as elv/galka imo.(im a taru pld w/ excal so what would i know) ^.^

I would also go with suppa, purely because its the only way of getting enhance dual weild in an ear slot - i'm not sure how much of a difference the shield and divine skill would make from the knight's earring, but with enough gil you could buy the VIT+2 on your ear. No amount of gil could buy enhance dual weild!

That's just my opinion - Suppa should be the only reward from DM Hope you dont die too much kiting that mofo, lol!

I dont care about this VIT+2, the Shield +5 seems really attractive, but the Sword+5 / Dual Wield is great too...

Considering I dont like tanking with Earth Staff, the more Shield+ is I can get is da best...

If you want Shield Skill on the ear, For a small amount of gil and a cookie, you can get a Buckler Earring.

The point is. Suppanomimi gives you something that nothing else gives you in that slot ever.

If you EVER plan on leveling ANYTHING that EVER uses Dual Wield [including a DD-setup PLD/NIN, (Company/Joyuse FTW)]. You will regret not having a Suppanomimi.

Knightly earring is allright. But for the same quest, you can get something that'll help PLD, And every other melee you work on, and PLD-DD. The choice is yours. ^_^

I picked Suppa pretty much only because people told me to pick it or I would regret it. At the time I had no intention of ever leveling WAR or NIN, and really wanted Busha for the +2 STR.


Now I find myself leveling NIN like I never thought I would, and I am so happy I picked Suppa.

My highest level melee is 25, and I still have a Suppanomimi thanks to everyone in my LS. Can't wait to use it. D:

Some people in this thread keep confusing Knight's Earring with Knightly Earring. Knightly Earring is a level 59 earring that enhances Shield Bash and gives -9% spell interruption.

As for which to pick, it's situational. I personally picked Knight's earring because, let's face it, a Paladin is there to take hits. I'm not going to pretend that I could be doing damage so the +5 sword skill means nothing to me. If you want +sword skill go and buy a Sword Belt. It all depends, is PLD the only job you are seriously going to level? If so, go with the Knight's earring, as shield plays a more important role than ever now in the game.

So because my SAM is 75 and I choose Bushinomimi I hated my life? True, I'll miss Suppa when my NIN hits 72, but since I have a feeling my LS will still use me more as SAM I'm perfectly happy w/ my life and choice.

I wont only level Paladin, but I do a lot of Solo stuff as PLD/WHM or PLD/NIN.

For PLD/NIN, the Suppa is litteraly Godly.
But if I want to tank some gods or else with S/S, I would need this +5 Shield. Dilemna...

Knight's earring if I focus on end-game LS playground
Suppanomimi if I focus on Solo/DD Stuff (Yesterday was my first time I was invited as DD)


Suppa seems to be the most Jack-of-all-Trades, whereas K'sE is PLD onry...
