Yeah I'll probably get kabuto, I'll see how D.Log prices are this weekend after people go do gods. I'm not paying 5mil for a log right now, especially since they were 3 mil like 2 days ago.

Oh, and I don't play a lot anymore.... so I don't have time to go camp Dune Boots NM, but I outparse most monks even with my gimp gear. I've never been beaten by a Mnk with Dune Boots. And they look ugly. I'll get them eventually, but i don't see how that makes me nubtacular. Once I put more merits into kick attacks I'll be more inclined to go get them.

And you don't have to camp the NM, it's pretty much always up. Just grab a few friends and go, I'd be really surprised if it wasn't there. If it's not, kill the few sabotenders in the area and it'll almost certainly pop.

Well honestly I'm a galka, there's not much that's gonna save the way I look.

But mostly it's just that I've camped the Dune Boots NM before, I've gone 5 or 6 times and he's never been up, I've killed Sabotenders for like 40 minutes and got tired. Unless Dune Boots make me Crit Kick for 20,000 damage I'm not gonna bother for a while.

sunate > dune boots.. i've parsed this... the fully merited monk (sunate) had around 150 more punches than me (dune) and did around 10+more weaponskills than i did... this was in krt...i got sunate after this pt... it all depends on how you setup your gear (acc/attk/str/haste) and what food... if you are telling me you are spending the money on +5%haste over +5str and +6acc you are crazy... turban can be merited just take your time :D

Dune Boots > Sune-ate.

Even if the MNK may have have gotten off a few more punches and a few more WSs over the course of the party, his Kick Attacks were also hitting for piss, and any MNK with a brain is going to merit Kick Attacks.
