Behemoth Mantle Desynthesis

Have any of the leathercrafters here tried desynthing Behemoth mantles? Somepage doesn't list B. Hides as an item obtainable from this, but I've seen some of the JP leathercrafters on Leviathan buy them up (3-4 at a time) so I figure you must be able to gain B. hides or leather from this.. Just wondering how the desynth rates are because somepage has wool thread listed as NQ and HQ1 for this.

You can. A lot of Behe. Horn synths weren't listed, but when I wanted to make Shofar+1's I desynthed the NQ's which would yield a behemoth horn 1/2 times (shofar is a toss normally, so this is a huge bonus). A lot of items are desynthable but just aren't listed because people usually don't desynth them.

Example: Coral Rings (dunno why you'd make these in the first place); NQ and HQ yields 1 coral frag, HQ2 yields 2 coral frags which is only what the synth requires in the first place.

I know you can desynth them, but I was wondering if it was only a HQ2/3? or if it is HQ1? It's not listed as a HQ1 is what I was saying :/

NQ will be wool thread and HQ2 will be behemoth leathter, HQ1... not sure really, try it yourself?

Gonna try it on cheaper mantles first give me a good idea on how the HQ is.

Well, Shofar (which is 1 beetle jaw 1 behe horn) has HQ1 of beetle jaw, and this looks like a similar synth. Try it and see I guess? I don't see the point though unless you have overwhelming desynth, on lightsday, and the mantles cost less than half the price of a hide... because you WILL lose them and you will make NQs

HQ1 is wool thread as well, u need a HQ2 or 3

tried a few on ram mantles.. out of 6 mantles:
1 break
2 NQ Wool threads
2 HQ Wool threads
1 HQ Ram skin.

Mantles are cheap, about 2.4-2.6m and hides are about 6.5-7m

Get the right day and conditions and it might be worth it; I had about 10 shofars in stock when i discovered they could be desynthed, and only ended up with maybe 3-4 horns I think. That was on random conditions though.

I know it's not a behemoth mantle but I desynthed a dusk mask for a guy that was quitting (don't ask) and all I got back was a silk thread. WTF?

For most recipes with B. Leather in them, there are other things you can get too.

I just posted in the other thread but I can confirm wool thread for one of the desynths. I don't remember if it was hq or not though.
