I'm guessing cause both the items you were synthing are Tier 1, but instead of HQing Snipers, you HQ'd the Gaia Mantles? D:

I wish Archers were that low on Unicorn, our's are still hovering around 2m with NQ Snipers worth ~1m.

Edit: I blew up Cursed Pumps for a friend on Saturday. Lost everything but a Gold Thread.

    Personal breaks -

Vermy synth when cloths were 3M a pop, someone asked me to synth it and I crit failed (was 15 lvl's above cap) lost all 3 cloths.

Dalmatica (while cloth 98.9 +3), capped leather +1:
Break 1- lost macrame and ram leather and gold chain
Break 2- lost macrame and ram leather

Then, went to a 100 goldsmither's mule (100+3 smithing) to have Barone Corazza synthed, this was right after Jormungand first started being killed on our server, so Ores were going for 15-20M each.

Then went to JP smither with best rep for 2nd chance, a few months later-

I went 0 for 12 on haubergeons in a row....then HQed Hauberk, Cursed Celata, and sollerets in a row...

    One week I made 8/15 haubergeon+1...3/3 cursed mufflers-1...3/8 hauberk+1....made a couple hundred million profit..

Now long time after I sold my personal hauby+1...I am like 0/50..trying to make another ..

There have been a few times I crit failed haubys 2 or 3in a row....

    Gotta love random crafting...
I always stick to same days, same game time/direction/moon support...and results always vary

Looks like you're wearing earth staff & facing south right? I'm not sure how much stock I put into that, crafting can be so random. Sorry for your breaks

Hmm, looks like facing that direction with earth staff increases break rate with alot.

    Which day was it???

If you believe in that philosophy, it looks like you were overloading earth element (wearing earth staff, facing south which is the earth direction and wind is strong against it, etc.). Then Murphy's Law kicked in.

i crafted southeast w/ terra staff, I don't really believe much of the staff thing. I'm not sure it was, but I believe it was full moon(for the hades sainti).

going to try a new set of hades sainti today during the new moon.

For earth crystals, I like crafting between 50% and 80%. My brain tells me I'm stupid and it doesn't mean shit, but then I tell my brain to fuck off.

Try lightning staff? Also I have like 140 lightning element in my moghouse which of course gives off Moghancement: Desynthesis. I'm 3/6 NQ, 1/6 HQ, 2/6 break. Might just be a bit luckier than most, but I think it has a lot to do with stacking mog house with lightning shit.
No, not fucking lightning staff, that has nothing to do with shit. SE did not design crafting with player levels god fucking dammit. Mog house is somewhat believeable, but thunder staff is level 51, all crafting gear is level 1 for a reason. Being on a job below 51 will never ever give you any crafting disadvantage, so please for the sake of my fucking sanity stop recommending this shit
and what lvl is the katana with +3 cooking skill?

Heh, it's funny because a katana that openly says "Cooking Skill +3" is always our benchmark for something that is known to have at least two hidden effects.

Don't mind me, I'm just wondering why we give SE so much credit.
