..and wow at 2.4M hides, wish i could get my hands on some at that price. 0/6 on Cerberus Mantle +1, 4 for LS, 2 I was lucky enough to find my own hides.

Whats the loss for NQ mantle and whats the market like for the mantles? There is usually just one up on the AH and they sell within a day or two.

..and Mantle is 4M sale price, hides were 4M too until some jackass overpaid 1M. But on my server they really do not sell often, i am really surprised you can find them so cheap. All the LS's here just synth them theirselves to try HQ.

Wow, luckily I've never done worse than 0/7 or so on elemental staffs before getting an HQ. Although with bead prices rising and staff prices falling, it really just isn't worth the risk (plus I have horrid hq luck)...

No SS but I blew up a dlog (for someone else) when they were over a million G still (currently ~600k)... felt terrible.

I have a similar story, though not as bad... later than that, when talons were 2M, my friend (RL roommate at the time) wanted an igqira weskit. I tracked down one of the most well known JP bone crafters on the server to have him make the weksit. First attempt - crit break, lost everything but a couple of the cheap stuff. Tried again from the same guy maybe a week later, crit break again. Eventually I found an NQ in some guy's bazaar and just bargained that out for slightly less than ingredient cost, and we just bought that...

Looking back, his NQ weskit cost him more than what a Genie costs now.
