    Bluetooth Laser Virtual Keyboard

    http://www.thinkgeek.com/computing/input/8193/

    Been thinking about getting one of these for awhile now, but I don't see any type of USB/ps2 antenna. o_O;

    I don't know much about Bluetooth, so if someone with knowledge on the matter could explain it, I'd appreciate it.

    Bluetooth is a really cool technology. I'm not exactly sure how it works to be honest. For instance though, you can get wireless headsets that syncs with your cell phone and has a reception range of like ten feet (more? less?). Thinking about it.. anyone know how secure it is? Like I said, I don't know much about it, maybe someone that does can explain it better.

    I'm thinking about getting it for my PC. ;x

    How would it connect to my computer? Would I need a PCI Wifi antenna? USB? D=

    Dunno. D: Most likely it'd have a USB atachment since most PCs aren't equiped with Bluetooth.

    You would need a bluetooth adapter to get that to work. They are about $20 and look just luke a flash drive. It'll plug right into a usb port and will give your computer bluetooth compatibility. You can find these at walmart or any electronics store.

    The device its self won't connect to your computer. It will communicate with your system through the air via the bluetooth adapter, but there are no wires involved here.

    It works by somehow reading where the light is blocked on the table. It is a great idea for the on-the-go users. But I think I wouldent be able to live without the feeling of the key being pressed down...

    If you want a REAL tight keyboard...

    I saw that a few years ago, not sure when it will be made but god I wan't one so bad. They are taking preorders for the 3 button keypad, so a full keyboard should be soon... Especaly for WoW, the little WoW buttons on the keyboard would be SO fucking cool.

    I don't want to know how much a full one would be.

    Nice! O_O;

    How well does it do in FPSs? I like to play some HL2 on the side, so delay is kinda a no-no. ;x

    Average battery life? o_O;

    i play quake 3 with it, >.> nuff said lol

    mouse life is pretty good, as of late its not as good as it used to be, but thats to be expected after 2 years, keyboard life it great, i think i may have changed the batteries "maybe" 3-4 times total in 2 years, and i dont think i needed to all those times, the media pad the batteries will last about 4-6 months, depending on usage

    having the bluetooth reciever as the mouse charger is really nice, i guarantee you could do a full days worth fps gaming with no worries, and by full day, i mean 12+ hours easily (on a full charge of course, full charge from completely dead takes two hours max)

    and the keyboard is basically a laptop keyboard, at first it was a little odd, but now, i hate regular keyboards, and being as thin as it is, i think the frame is steel, its not flimsy at all

    i know i sound like a salesman, but this is barnone the best keyboard setup i could recommend, i have found nothing to bitch about with it

    Awesome! Thanks! =D

    I'll have to get it.

    Yea, my keyboard is basically a laptop keyboard, too. So the adjustment to it wont be so weird.
