Maybe they added the tax to whitegate so the distribution of the population is spread evenly between the 2 zones instead of being a 700/100 ratio.Originally Posted by Lockecole

Actually doesn't an NPC in Al Zahbi directly say the taxes there are cheaper than in Whitegate directly? It's an incentive to "win" besieged (lol)
Uggh, I don't talk to NPCs. Just seems kinda strange...I guess its incentive for people to buy the expansion. Oh well, I dont get why 4 different AHes have the 2% tax, and only one doesnt.
Yeah but the one AH that doesn't have super high taxes has a risk of being taken captive.
ofn.

Where is auction house in Alzahbi? I could only find the one in Whitegate.
It's a group of NPCs under a tent-lake thing southwest of the MH.
southmost square.
I may be wrong, but didn't the tavnazian AH to jeuno also have lower than normal taxes?
Iono, didn't use it much.
nope, if it did, you'd see more than 10 people in the region at any given time.Originally Posted by Sarchar
I think SE also has admitted that the gil level in the system is decreasing; this is one way to ease up on taxes.
I know I've probably saved over 1m gil by using the zahbi ah since AU launch.
I have saved about 15m from it now.Originally Posted by aurik
Not like you're in dire need of gil <.<Originally Posted by WizerdRemora
sorry if this is a noobish question, not playing ffxi currently. what happens to auctions if they are up and you lose the area? do they just get mailed back?
