Title says it all.
Also, Sony changed their controller to moderately copy Nintendo.
$600 here we come.

Solid Snake hates the price as well.
Oh and ps3 hs no rumble wtf is up with that?
lol 1000$ canadian ftw.
(not really 1000$ but close to it)
600 is alot, but its such a beast that it won't stop me from buying it since Sony are NUMBER ONE!
I'm glad they changed the controller design from last year's E3.
Who (appart from people who masturbate with controllers) really takes notice of rumble features anyway, it's been a long time since I thought to myself "hey, the rumbling really makes this enjoyable!" Most times it's just there and I never notice it cause lo and behold there is ALWAYS something more interesting going on then a vibrator with buttons.
I can only think of 1, maybe 2 games that would just not have been the same without a rumble feature.
The first is ReZ. The other is Gran Turismo 2.
Besides that...I can live without it.
I don't know why but I always love to have the rumble feature turned on it games. Like in platformers when you shoot stuff and the gun makes it vibrate or when you jump and stuff. I love it!
Tried playing FFXI with rumble enabled....it rumbles more than it doesn't -.-
I play Rez with the USB transvibrator.Originally Posted by Correction

Apparently the Rumble seems to interfere with the dynamic controller thingy so they just took it out and put this feature in. Though i will miss the rumble, i guess i'll enjoy the dynamic part of the controller D;Originally Posted by Demosthenes
Motion sensors in controllers has been around for a long while.. Nintendo didn't just come up with it and Sony is now copying it.
That being said, if you want WiFi, SD/Memory Stick, and HDMI output(So you can play blu-ray at 1080p), you'll need the $600 version.. $500 doesn't come with shit. lol
Do we get another 90day warrenty slap in the face with PS3 too?
.
you know what i'm thinking when i read some of those "omfg so expensive" responses
sony deserves the 6 benjimens out of a LOT of people's pockets for their chipped PS2s and BT'ed and burned games
jjj
I'm reserving my Black PS3 with 60GB
Ill pick up 2-3 starter games (Hoping Socom 4, Madden '07, and God of War 2 [Yes I know it's a PS2 game, but still would look segsi on my ps3 ^^] would come out around that time)
GOOD LAWRD my PS3 with HDMI compatability with my 63" Sony HDTV..
Um..... /em bust out the Jerry Maguire's Cuba Gooding End Zone dance
This has Saturn debacle written all over it.
No way they go to market with $500/600, when the Wii's highest pricepoint yet is $249, and is more likely going to be $200.
You could buy a Wii and an Xbox 360 for the same price as a PS3...ridiculous.
