Periqa Assaults

Does anyone have a list of the base points for each mission in this area ?? From what I have noticed, each of the other 4 areas's have one mission that gives 3k base, 4.5 base, and 6k base a piece. From what I've researched, the ones in Periqa give:
Escort: 4500
Requiem: 3000
Ryaaf: 4500


I dunno if this is a generic error from what I've found online, but its making it hard to find out which Periqa area to farm for pts.

Escort is rather 3k total (just done it yesterday with 6 people and it yielded 500 AP each).

What I understand is that the first time you do an Assault, you get a 50% bonus, which is why many people are confused with the varying points they get.

Just do the escort with 3 people, it should be possible if the corsair doesn't go into rooms with crabs in them.

Are they fixed? I thought they go down in AP everytime you do 'em.

I've done Lebros lvl1 3 times, and i got lower AP every time.

Should have this changed to a thread that lists the base points for everyone mission of the 5 assault areas then have it added to the ToAU sticky. Have people post what they know then compile it all in the OP. I think it would be very helpful when looking for the best ones to farm in each area :D

Agreed. The bombs drop rate seems to be low enough that you can get a few mineless rats in a row, and your entire run is shot.

I win easily with 5 minutes or more to spare (we get the 10 min warning when we start on the last wall usually). I can't verify if the walls have lower HP or not, they definitely have the same defense, I do the same damage on them with 3 people that we do with 6.
But you get lots more points with 3 people so for that reason alone i recommend it with 3 people.

Basically we ignore bombs and stingy qirins and their mines that never drop, and just destroy the 5 walls.
As monk i remove any acc gear since you never miss the wall and add dex and str, critical+ gear and dune boots. I hit for 3 per punch, and critical for 6-8, I get a really high critical rate, strings of 4 and even 6 critical hits in a row. Asuran for 30-35 every 8 turns.
The blms cast bio2 and stack the other dot spells (frost, rasp, etc), rest mp, and also cast some tier1 spells (aero1, water1, etc), but damage from those is somewhat minor (higher lvl spells are even worse time/dmg ratios). Poison is resisted btw so no need to cast that. We split up after 1st wall and meet back again on last wall, then send someone back when last wall is at 50% or so.

Guaranteed win with 5 min+ to spare. I noticed walls seem harder on earthsday compared to other days.

Try bringing a THF if you want to do the Qiqirn method, I've never lost this one and I usually only ge 1 Qiqirn out of the whole batch that doesn't drop a mine. Other THFs have reported similar luck, it's possible they're very sensitive to treasure hunter

Thanks for the info on clearing Lebros with a small group, Genome. We tried several set ups that didn't involve Black Mages and couldn't win, got frustrated and moved onto others. Next time we do it we'll go as WAR, MNK, BLM, BLM and zerg the walls this way.

Try bringing a THF if you want to do the Qiqirn method, I've never lost this one and I usually only ge 1 Qiqirn out of the whole batch that doesn't drop a mine. Other THFs have reported similar luck, it's possible they're very sensitive to treasure hunter

I've gone in on this one about 3 times as my THF and the first 2 runs only got 1 mine out of god-knows-how-many kills. I dunno if TH2 effects it or not, maybe it's all just up to luck.

Btw I think RDM/BLM or anything /BLM should work just as well too (maybe even better because of haste), since wall doesn't resist and DoTs should do the same damge. I didn't try it however so I can't be 100% sure. When you split up with your setup you probably want to do 2 on north wall and 2 on east wall, 1 blm per wall since dot spells don't stack.

I'm pretty sure this is fixed. I've always gotten 4 bombs from this, either on the last qiqirn or the 2nd to last one. My guess is they're going to drop four no matter what. Doesn't really help if the 4 ones that drop are behind 3 walls

We managed to clear this last night, uncapped, as WAR, WAR, RDM with a level 60 BRD lol. On our first attempt the Red Mage was on Black Mage and we managed to kill all walls with 10 seconds remaining but the Bard who had set off earlier just couldn't make it to the Rune of Release in time. On our winning run, we killed a Qiqirin and went 1/1 on a mine, killed a Thief that linked and still managed to win with two minutes left.

So yeah, thanks again for the info, it'll be a breeze when we have another Black Mage with us (we did it out of boredom 'cause he fell asleep and we couldn't set) so we can split up.

We've done walls I think 4 times now, me as thf each time. I think we've only not gotten a mine twice in all 4 runs. But we also do walls at 50cap cause one of our blm's has 57 mnk to use

Edit: read what eaglestrike(pick a name damnit) said wrong. I do walls with him, and it's very rare that we don't get a mine from a rat. We usually have to kill one more rat then there is walls. I thought it was just set so that all the mines drop for you.
