Top Gear FTW
ytmnd is down too ;/. /emo.
I want this o.o
WOW that is awesome. The perfect college car. I wonder what kind of MPG it gets.
Also, rough estimate on 22k pounds? something like $38k?
A motorcycle for big pussies. Where are we gonna get organ donors now?
they went to the full shot and I started laughing so hard. It looks like a bug, a really, weird, stupid bug...with wheels.
However-- as a person living in a state (FL) where there are ALOT of motocycle accidents, I do wish alot of people buy this thingy. I hate reading about how the 18 yr old bought a Harley and then went on the Highway with no helmet and died 5 minutes later. True story.
edit::
And thank god Youtube is back up.
Top Gear is teh win, British TV at its best 8)

the only problem is, this vehicle would get owned in an accident >.>
I checked out their website and they will be available in the US at the end of the year. The starting price is over $44K. Add several thousand if you want some of the options.Originally Posted by Elemmire
And the MPG is 40.
Only 40? lol.. you can buy a used car for 5k$ and get 38MPG.
Yes, but can that used car make you feel like you are in a cross between Top Gun and Batman?Originally Posted by SephirothYuyX

Until..
Yeah, this thing would get pulverized, its almost comical thinking just how pwnt it'd get.the only problem is, this vehicle would get owned in an accident >.>
And a motorcycle doesn't get owned?
Sadly, it only get 40 MPG. If it got 60+...it would be the hottest thing on the market given today's gasoline prices. At 40 MPG, its not that attractive for the price. There are sedans that get that, at a much cheaper price.
Another thing to consider....is how is the US going to lable this vehicle? Is it a car? Or a motorcycle? If it is labled a motorcycle, then it may work as is in the US, but all potential drivers will have to get a motorcycle license, in addition to their drivers license in order to operate one legally. If it is a car....then it looks to be lacking some of the safety features required of cars in the US.
Personally....I'll stick with my Volvo, aka The Tank. Gets decent mileage, and is a fucking steel box. My wife hit some ice a few winters ago and slammed head first into a concrete embankment. Cop arrived, surveyed the scene, and estimated, given the damage to the car, the length of the slide, etc, that she was doing 25-30 MPH. A she did no damage to anything other than her car, he told her if she could drive it away....he wouldn't site her, but if not, he would call a wrecker, but then he would have to give her a ticket. No joke....
SHE DROVE THE FUCKER HOME!!!!!!!!
Not only that, the car drove fine for 2 weeks until we could get it into the shop. Headon into a concrete wall...and it still ran just fine. It looked like shit, but ran just the same as before the hit. It has sinced been fixed...but I am never giving that car up.
The main selling point for the vehicle is that it is "cool". It is a novelty item, a $40k toy, more or less. The "cool" factor is likely the biggest deciding factor in purchising this vehicle. MPG is more than likely not.Originally Posted by Cleveland

If I want to drive a vehicle that was made for cruising with the top down while blasting "Danger Zone" by Kenny Loggins, this is it.
Hell, the first thing I would do after buying this would be to get myself and my best friend some flight helmets, label one "Maverick" and the other "Goose" and we'd drive around looking for Russians to flip the bird at while driving at a 45 degree angle.
...if I had money to waste that is.
