Unless you're playing like 12 hours a day, it should be very simple to acquire the ENM key items and the Cosmo Cleanse in one trip, and not bother with Jeuno anymore.

I opt to save 9 hours every day of my life not staring at darters, lightning elementals and raptors/perytons, because we know that part of FFXI endgame is so fun <3



But I guess I dont know how to make money
I can...go to sky which is overrun with gilsellers durring all times of the day. I can....camp kings for 9 hours every day, just to watch some scumbag teleport around and claim it AFK because they left Argus running. I can...synth reraise hairpins which takes about 3 minutes per synth for something like 20k profit, and thats not including the time spent turning a stack of Shall Shells into one black pearl and a fuckload of Pearls with my SE tampered acct.

On my server the warp taru was kidnapped 10 besieged ago or so, but recently I noticed the last 5 times in a row I used the warp taru I ended up in rulude. I am sure there's still some randomness, but 5 times in a row is definitely higher warp accuracy than i used to get.
So I am not sure what makes him get better or worse but if were indeed being kidnapped, he recovers pretty fast and gets increasingly accurate.

I took your suggestion and went as a 62 Bard. Only did Madrigal x2 for a friend skilling up and then just played a threnody wheel with harp. Netted about 6-7 skill up points and 700xp. I also took my 29 BLM and did nothing but cast bio to cap my dark skill and got about 300+xp for my troubles. Time to hop on WHM and cap divine next.

Yea I found out last night that besieged can be good skillup. My enfeebling is underlevelled for my BLM (level 62 and from 50-now levelled mainly via ENM and scrolls) and I found I could just spam Dia on the trolls for lots of skillup. Oh and I got 700 xp/IS too. >_>

i took my merc kris to besieged, i was 196 a couple days ago when i got it, im 214 now. though i got a few levels camping coney twins. merc kris spam + heavy shot (slug doesnt connect. ever.)

ps; black sole + cooking = how i made and continue to make a consistent semi-fortune. i dualbox but needless to say, fishing black soles is damn good money.

But yeah, i did the same thing too Nynja, tried out the warp taru as soon as he was saved, got put on the wall-o-argus and was wondering the same thing.

Over the weekend when gilgamesh had a double level 5 attack (trolls and mamools) I got d/ced twice: once in the middle of troll attack, and again at the end of mamool attack. 350xp/is to show for an hour long beseiged -.-

What are the conditions for winning a besiged anyway? I've yet to see these so-called boss mobs for each faction.

there are no bosses, get total enemy forces to 5 or below and they retreat.

ifrit lost the candescence today (lol only 350 ppl in al zhabi) to undead swarm, warp taru was freed within hours but is enduring minor trauma and teleing people near jugner/pashow/meriphataud zones.

I believe strongly that Trolls have a boss. It is possible that his death means more than other trolls, he is a lot harder. If this theory is right, I wouldn't be surprised if it works like this:

Trolls: Boss > Trolls > Other.
Mamool Ja: Mages > Other Mamool Ja > Other.
Undead Swarm: Lamia > Merrow > Other.

The last one is just a guess, and the first two are just theories based on how tough they are.
