We have heard of ultrasonic insect repellers which emit ultrasonic frequencies to repel the pests. From a Welsh inventor comes the Mosquito which uses the same technique to repel teens. The Mosquito emits an ultrasonic sound which can be heard by most kids and teenagers only while remaining unaudible to adults over 30 due to deterioration of hearing ability with the age. It has a effective range of 15 - 20 meters and for all you PETA activists out there it does not bother dogs. The Mosquito has been installed at various location across the UK and has been successful in driving away rowdy yobs.

Remember the teenager repellent called Mosquito I wrote about a few days ago, the ultrasonic device that emits a sound only audible to teenagers? Shopkeepers in England have been installing them in order to prevent anti social youths from hanging out in front of their stores.
Well now techno-savvy pupils have recorded the ultra-high sound - audible only to under-20s- onto their cell phones, and are now receiving calls and text messages in class - without teachers having the faintest idea of what is going on.
The kids call it Teen Buzz, and it's spreading it from phone to phone via text messages and Bluetooth.
Pretty cool, I can hear it, but of course I'm 20. I was bugging the hell out of my roommate with it too. Post if you can hear it and how old are ya!
