Speaking of crazy NINs, am I just a noob for never having seen a Jin like this, or what?

This was from a NIN in a Thickets merit party I was in the other day. He also hit a 1575 one, and another 1500+ over the course of the party. Previous to this, I don't think I had ever seen a Jin get much higher than 1300 or so. He also had a really high critical hit rate, and was definitely the closest I've ever had a NIN parse to my MNK in a merit party. Didn't check his gear, but visually it looked about the same as what Dezzimal listed in his post.

Makes me kind of sad that a 3-hit WS can get so much higher than is even possible with my 8-hit one.

I have full katana merits though... my crit rate was the same pre-katana merits as it was after. I was meleeing in Koga Chainmail over Osode and I wasn't using Koga Kyahan at night when I could have been. I'm sure there are other DEX things I could have added on to reach near a 25% crit rate.

Person with parser said I was critting 25-40% on ALL mobs (40% bieng the highest off 1 mob, 25% was the lowest). Didn't say what the average was, but I was usuing Trollbane, and my average crit rate is usually only 20% (haven't really exp'd since I got it tho so...)

Also, the Mamoolbane is +6 acc, would suffice to say then Trollbane +6% crit then? I thought it would be only 1 or 2% or it would be overpowered xD Or maybe SE didnt care ; ;

Lamiabane isn't 6 MAB, thats for sure. It seems more like 1 or 2 MAB. This is something that is directly testable.

I often break 1500 in merit PT's as NIN with Blade: Jin, but it's due to Double Attack. When I get 13-15% TP Return on a Jin, I know I've Double Attacked one or more of the hits, and that's what gets me the big #'s.

I've always used double Triumph Earrings for my WS Setup, although others keep telling me Brutal+Triumph is better for WS. What do you think is better? For some reason I get better overall parser results with double Triumph.

The point was that Puks are easy, not that that was an impressive Rampage. I'd post an 1800 on Cerberus if I wanted to do that.

Hume. Pretty sure hume/taru have relatively the same DEX.

They have something like 11 or 12 more than Tarus on any job @ 75. Thats quite a bit when you consider the price of a flame ring.
