Need help on Hostile takeovers!

Bastok hasnt had xarcabard on carbuncle in over 6 months and i need the fucking OP. Im thinking should trade mass equip to the NPC and win it over. Any idea if certain equip is better to trade than others, and how much gil im looking to throw into this venture?

Edit: Theres a few of us in LS doing this, so it isnt a solo thing

I tossed about 200k worth of darts to get Upper Elshimo once for Windurst, when Sandy was winning. It was the last outpost I needed.

I got the same message when I traded 8 stacks of darts as when I traded 8 stacks of Hawkeyes (it was a different message when I traded only 1 stack of darts), so I dunno if it was any better or not but I just stuck with darts until Windy had a good lead.

The more of 1 item you trade in, the less points that'll give you back.

Also, the amount of points received for items depends on NPC purchase price.

That Midgard thing depressed me. I remember a day and age where it was impossible to wrest control from San d'Oria. Windurst occasionally took over once a month, and never Bastok. But Sandy and Windy allied? *sigh*

It's 11 AM EST in DST. During the fall/winter it is 10AM. Japan doesn't use DST so it changes.

lol I spent over 2 million trying to take Gustaberg as Sandy. Combined with a few other friends who spent 2-3 million each. What I learned was that there were specific types of equipment you should trade. I went down the list of high level armor on the AH, and bought a bunch of NQ shit that was like 50-70k each. That was the best. Like Adaman Barbutas, Arhat's Jinpachis, etc. Like wafik said, the more of one thing you trade, the less you get. You want to trade items that give you the message that it will "greatly" increase your nation's standing. And you only want to do a few of those items, as soon as the message changes, start trading something else.

I often think of doing this myself to try and get the very helpful Kolshushu outpost. Ever since I switched to Windurst over four months ago it has just rotated between Bastok and Sandoria every damn week.
