The moogles are in the process of planning another fun-filled Sunbreeze Festival! This year's event will take place starting on July 25th, so grab some sunscreen and head to Vana'diel!

What this means though is the patch is coming before July 25th since they have to patch in dialogue and possibly new items.

It was more of a "lol 90% of their player base needs colour on their skin anyway" (myself included)

Of course, summerfest could reuse all old crap and therefore require no client patching whatsoever (and thus, the patch could slip past it).. Or else, they can release a summerfest patch independent of the content patch (which I'm sure they would hate to do, but would do if the content patch keeps slipping (2 slips so far))

They really haven't been trying too much with recent world events. Will they even need to patch anything for Summerfest? The fireworks and goofy music have been in the game for years...

Seriously, make more events like the Twinkling Treants and the level 1 runs through high level areas. But don't recycle the content.

I remember the first summer fest for ps2 users (not sure if there was one before it for PC) and it was the best. Remember it turned you to lvl 1 and threw you into kuftal or den of rancor and you had to find some glyph. At the time I was maybe lvl 40ish max and that was the first time seeing ifrit's. Scared the crap out of me D:

Your first experience of Summerfest was the same as everyone else. The PS2 release was only about 6 months after PC release and the PC release started at Halloween.

First time I logged in to Sandy NPCs were running around as skeletons. That was kind of weird.
