I bet it's more than 2000. If you look at these forums and the amount of people here talking about getting banned, and then consider the fact that these forums are browsed by less than 1% of the population of FFXI, and the fact that many people who got banned and browse these forums won't post about it, the number seems a lot more than 2k.

Not to mention that if you ban someone's friends, there's a good chance that person will leave too. It sets off a chain reaction.

If you consider this and the people who will emo out and quit on Monday, you quickly realize that SE may have just damaged their playerbase beyond repair.

I would say 100% of cheaters search forums on a reagular basis. Not 100% of posters are cheaters though. So saying less than 1% of the player community browses these forums doesn't mean anything if all of the cheaters are in that percentage.

i have a JP friend (who has maat's cap, incidentally) who told me about a ton of JP hack tools. he didn't actually send me any (nor did i want them) but apparently there's a lot of stuff client side, and anything client side you can hack:

HP regen
MP regen
spell cooldown timer
BP cooldown timer
resting HP/MP
movement speed (obviously)
position/location (x/y/z coordinates)
zoning into another location
targeting monsters
touching ??? spots/NPCs

he didn't show me all of these but he could open some of the gates in eldieme necropolis from the entrance, have a 0 second BP timer, and 999 hp and mp regen. he also told me that many JP players use these hacks to do things like pop BCNM coffers without fighting the monster, or go from jeuno to sky, etc.

anyway it's almost 9:00, time to get on hold w/ S-E support and find out wtf is going on.

i dont use windower macros but i use ffassist (and /echo commands for it). i run multiple accounts on differnet PCs, same internet connection. i run in window and full screen modes. temp suspended on all three, and i use windower/ffassist on all 3.
