Resist stun *more*? He never resisted it at all before.
Is he building resist over time, or is it like Fafnir etc where you just have a really low chance to stun?

He resisted /drk stuns alot even before the patch, especially towards the end of the fight as he built some resistance...
Wipe@1% and sniped, I'd be disappointed but I really can't be, people were likely wondering why we werent fighting it at the wall to begin with. Shit happens, it's actually a somewhat challenging fight now >_> stupid thing fired off 9 GoH's (all stunned) before I even saw another WS from the stupid thing.
We just wiped at 20% after the linkshell before us wiped three times and the linkshell that wiped before them at 98% stood on top us. They're now fighting and will have the favour returned.
Aside from not being able to use the wall and the aforementioned linkshell lagging us to hell, I'm not entirely sure what they did to make him harder. Some of our most reliable stunners failed and all three GoH got through. It seems to cast a lot faster...
How the hell did you stun all them? We've fought Cerberus around 10 times before this patch and today he was firing off GoH's faster than a rdm/drk could cast stun...we wiped damn fast, ridiculous.
Either the zone was lagging terribly, or GoH casts a lot faster.
We didnt stun all of them the whole fight, just got the first 9 in a row stopped (almost back to back to back to back ._.). then a few more after it did hoplon and let us freaking breathe. I think by the time 1% rolled around 6 had gotten through, the last one clinched our wipe, I told some dude in another shell to mijin but he was low on HP so another shell just sniped it at 1% *shrug*
The answer is really that your stunners just have to be fast. I let one get through, some of our others let 2 each. It actually punishes mistakes now, making it one of the more challenging fights in the game (I guess, it honestly wasn't hard to keep an order for a long while, though one time I hit stun and shit didnt happen for like 2 seconds and it finally started casting when it was too late).

What idiot designer decided Cerb should be put near walls but you shouldnt be able to use them and that GoH has a long 'cast time' but you shouldn't be able to stun them.
BTW, does he draw in if you DON'T pull hate or only if you do.

I'm almost certain it has to do with your Dark Magic skill... Before this patch I would get resisted on Stun around 30% of the time as a NIN/DRK with aprox 114 Dark Magic skill, while RDMs and BLMs would never get resisted. So it would have to be skill level, I don't think anything else would make sense.Originally Posted by Black

IMO this whole idea was just stupid (SE just fails at everything), if you're going to patch an NM then patch it as soon as you can. Don't wait 3 months until everyone has made it their bitch, and then right when people start to not care about him make him twice as hard.
Well congrats to Square on ruining one of the most fun fights left in FFXI. Not being able to use the wall means you actually have to give a shit about TP spam now turning this into a gay 2 hour bloodpact affair.
