Halvung - 3rd map - I-8.... gotta get past a shitload of truesight trolls to get to it.

2 Friar's Lanterns on cool looking ramp are the placeholders.

These are different than other placeholders as they grow in size as you fight them... when they grow they get atk and INT boost, and new WS...

Vulcanic Impact - Fire dmg, single target.
Hellstorm - Fire dmg, single target.
Heat Wave - aoe burn, 36hp/tick.

eventually Big Bomb pops, starts off small, grows biggggggg... uses the same WS and Spells are the friars do.

Can't sleep/stun Big Bomb... I tried enfeebling but that didn't work, although we killed it was whm/brd/war (i'm whm), so i didn't expect anything to land anyways.

The fight is pretty simple, although his atk/int boost when he grows is huge, final size he hits for 300-400 and firaga3 pwnd our war for 1400dmg. We wiped at 15% the first time we fought it and it doesn't shrink after it grows so our 2nd attempt we had to fight it in "rage" mode the entire time.

Finally killed it, no drop. JP BBS says he drops Horrent Mace (lv70 war/drk club dmg40, delay320, atk+10, latent:acc+10) ... i assume thats its crap drop and i'm going for it again as i write this

anyhow, ziz sleep, so i attacked it using the mobs in the area... it was smacking them for 300, and wsing constantly.. i got it to 97% with 4 mobs.. logged out to escape

Its base dmg is crap, what sam would actually use it with lolshinsoku available(and even hagun owns that)

Most of the drain xxx weapons suck, but some dont. until someone has one, dont write it off.

Thats why i left those as questions, if any1 test(or has tested) and finds out it is indeed good then allright, but until then this is SE we're talkin bout dont expect it to be game breaking

another thing, those stats dont really impress me either, im not exactly in the mindset to figure out what situations they would be good in

He's likely there for besieged purposes or just to mess with XP parties

Acts like a real black mage because he'll sleepga/bind your ally, run away, come back and try to unload an aga3. Easiest way to kill it seems to be pulling him towards the entrance to the valley and nuking him from above. Make a stun order and have someone outside the ally available to wake people with cures. I've seen it killed twice and both times dropped nothing, makes me believe it affects besieged onry.
