    All World Maintenance August 1st 2006

    At the following time, we will be performing FINAL FANTASY XI maintenance on all Worlds. During this period, FINAL FANTASY XI will be unavailable.

    Thank you for your patience.

    * The client software will also be updated at this time. Once this maintenance is completed, the client update will start automatically after logging back into FINAL FANTASY XI. Please follow the instructions that appear on your screen.

    FINAL FANTASY XI

    [Details]
    - The continuation of the Treasures of Aht Urhgan storyline will be added

    - The following Besieged related issues will be modified:
    - HP slip status will be automatically removed after Besieged
    - The beastmen forces will stop growing an remain as half upon retreat.
    - Numbers of monsters that spawn within Al Zahbi during defensive Besieged will be modified.
    - Beatmen retreat requirement will be modified.

    - The Leujaoam Sanctum assault missions, "Shanarha Grass Conservation" and "Counting Sheep" which, messages regarding the spawn spots for Rune of Release are incorrect and will be fixed.

    - The spawn point for some of the monsters guarding the Archaic Mirrors within Arrapago Reef will be adjusted.

    - An incorrect message would display when changing the access right to Al Zahbi only after the Mog Locker use priod has expired will be addressed.

    - An issue with the monster "Zoraal Ja's Pkuucha" which could not be damaged under certain circumatsances will be fixed.
    * A measurement has been carried out on the Jul. 26 version update but the issue would still occur sometimes since then and will be addressed.

    - An issue with the "Ghrah" appearence will be fixed.

    - An issue wherein monster "Golden-Tongued Culberry" could instantly finish casting its spells will be addressed.

    - With Bard set as main job and Corsair as support job, Bard's song may not take effect under certain curcumstances. This will be fixed.

    - The samurai merit point ability "Overwhelm" which is currently not functioning correctly will be addressed.

    - Added synthesize recipe for the item "Imp. Silk Cloth"

    - The item: Imperial Ring will have its name changd to Trooper's ring.

    - Automaton's attachments, Attuner and Target Marker which relate with ranged attack performance, have not been functioning properly and will be fixed.

    - The following NPCs which are unable to be targetted as usual will be addressed:
    - "???" within the Korroloka Tunnel area.
    - "Loose Sand" within the Attohwa Chasm area.

    - Players who are inside their Mog house could be KO'd by monsters during defensive Besieged. Thisissue will be fixed.

    - An isue with the "Attack" status of NPC allies would be reduced under certain circumstances will be addrssed.

    - An incorrect help text with the Bard's "Troubadour" job ability will be fixed.

    - Other in-game issues will be fixed.

    [PlayStation 2 version only]
    - An issue where game would freeze when using the software keyboard will be addressed.

    [Xbox 360 version only]
    - An issue with the "achievements" function, where players could unlock the "Synthesize skill 100" category without actualy fufilling the requirement will be addressed.

    I see they are addressing the untargettable "Loose Sand" issue in Attohwa Chasm, but still not the untargettable Luminant issue.

    This update give us a few mission, and a ton of fix for broken stuff they implemented after making us wait 4 months? >_> Go S-E


    I hope mission won't have as much running around because so far, there was more than we had in CoP.

    Um, the vast majority of those problems appeared in the recent patch. Unless I'm insane and the last patch was 4 months ago

    Aug 2nd is storyline update, August 22nd is the choco raising update. It's buried on their website.

    What I'm curious about is whether this upcoming update will add the missions, or whether they'll wait a day and do another update.

    These type of notes are always so unclear until they actually happen. Would be funny if that meant those attachments were only supposed to help a lot with ranged accuracy... lolpup?

    All I saw from the new missions was some C/S, a trip to Alzadaal Ruins (NM possibly, or maybe just click a ???), more C/S, a trip the graveyard in Mire (possible NM), more C/S, BCNM in Reef (undead pirates, it seems), more C/S, maybe a quest involving proper attire, but yeah... That's really it.

    One BCNM, maybe two alliance-style NMs, and cutscenes.
