What have your electric bills been like? I live in FL and my AC recently helped bring my utilities bill over $350 for the month. (3 people)

Uhm, 5 days without power, does the state or anyone do anything about all the food that goes bad since your refrigerator isn't working? What a bunch of crap. It's not like you have control when they're the ones pulling the plug.

I don't think there's any compensation, no. It's just another part of life in a state with a poorly deregulated power industry. It's why Grey Davis was recalled and Arnold Schwarzenegger was elected. I'm sure there's lots of talk about trying to fix it, and very little action.

There are 104 days till your next birthday
on which your cake will have 16 candles.

Those 16 candles produce 16 BTUs,
or 4,032 calories of heat (that's only 4.0320 food Calories!) .

You can boil 1.83 US ounces of water with that many candles.
    errr....cool

Yes, we are able to get money for the food that went bad while the power was out. It was posted on their website I believe. I don't know how it works or how they check to make. We were the only block to have power out so long, I ended up staying at my aunt's house a few blocks away to play ffxi.

Its really shitty in Orange Beach right now.

Then again it just rained so its kinda nice outside. The heat doesn't bother me, its the humidity.

I'm an Asst. Coach at the local high school and I made the kids do Dot Drills outside this morning

(I'm not that evil though, because it was a lot cooler in the morning in Chicago, but we're tagging the mid 90's again today)
