Found this neat program earlier, I searched but didn't see anything related to it.

Scanned with Symantec AntiVirus Corporate, was clean.

It's in JP, but easy enough to understand.

Since it's JP, it looks for the JP install by default, but you can make it use the US install by making a file named AltanaView.ini in the folder and put:

Ive been having fun with this program when it was posted on XOOPS, and it is quite fun. Best part of it is being able to view the animations and full areas.

This will deff bring about more mods for the game. Atleast make it easier.

You may only want to do this if you actually know what you're doing in the registry. First, open the registry editor (start -> run -> "regedit". Open the folder HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, Inside that folder open the SOFTWARE folder. Scroll down, if you only have the US version of FFXI installed you should be able to find a folder called PlayOnlineUS.
Now comes the editing part. Go back up to the SOFTWARE folder and right click on it and choose to add a new key, this should add a new folder to the list, call it PlayOnline. Right-click on the PlayOnline folder you just created and choose to add a new key, call this one InstallFolder. Now the right hand should be pretty blank with only a (Default) key in there. Right click in the blank space and choose to add a new String Value, name this 0001. Double click on this new entry and put where you have FFXI installed such as: C:\Program Files\PlayOnline\SquareEnix\FINAL FANTASY XI inside the textbox. If you're not entirely sure of the value to enter here, go to the InstallFolder folder in the PlayOnlineUS folder and copy the contents of the 0001 entry.
When you get done it should look similar to this:

Is anyone else having a problem where you click "X" piece of gear and when you go to the next slot it reverts back to "Y"? lol its annoying ><

For some reason it's not detecting my ToAU sounds. It has all the animations and such but like the blue magic cast doesnt have soundand the music thing where you can listen to the BGMs doesnt have my ToAU BGMs listed. Anyone else encounter this?

ok, I made the .ini and have done everything I can think of to get it to work, but everytime I click the AltanaView button to launch the program I get an error message of somesort saying (I think) that it couldn't find the path to launch it...
Is anyone else getting this problem also?
