The treadmill movie was pretty neat. That must have taken a lot of work to pull off in one shot.

The Garfield thing was interesting, too. I never knew he deviated from the series like that, but I certainly wouldn't read too much into it.

I remember those. I'd argue that these cannot be taken as canon mainly because they deviate so vastly from the comic. I do think Halloween had something to do with the timing of the strips, but there's no deeper meaning here in my opinion.

In short, it's just a comic, people are reading into it too much.
