Apocalypse nigh quest gayfaggery

Ok, so. I beat Apocalypse Nigh BC, got the ending cutscene, saw the battlefield clear message, got the title. I go to jeuno to talk to Aldo as all the guides I have looked up direct you to do- Aldo says hi there sucker I'm aldo buy something. I'm supposed to get a cutscene. This is not the wait-til-jp-midnight cutscene. Every guide says beat it and talk to aldo for a cutscene. Aldo just says Hi.

I've talked to him multiple times. Logged off, logged on, zoned, ran around in sea, went to ru'lude gardens, talked to everyone in the front part of tenshodo, checked the bc entrance (it says the crystal is glowing with an amber light) did everything I could think of. I called a GM and asked him to check my flags, he said "The game is working properly at this time."

Has anyone had this problem and found a way around it?

Might you have missed a flag for the quest Before the BC?


I know anybody with sky can participate in Divine Might but if you don't have the quest flagged you won't get the shards afterwards for a successful victory. Maybe you were able to do the BC, but a prior CS glitched or was missed.

Don't you just go to Giglamesh straight after the BC? It's been a long time since I did it but I'm pretty sure there's no need for Aldo immediatly after the BC and that Giglamesh will just give you the earring straight away.

This is how I remember it too, although I thought there was a JP midnight wait attached to this, but the next step was the earring in Norg I believe.

Seems this is The Truth(tm). Aldo was still being a fuckhead to me this morning, but Gilgamesh gave me the earring anyway. It's pretty strange to me, though, seeing as how everyone else I did the BC with got the cutscene from Aldo and I didn't. Guess it doesn't matter now.

It might have hicupped when you tried to recieve the Aldo cutscene, but that sort of thing generally seems to happen when you disconnect or someone makes you skip an event with a spell. Just chalk it up to another Mystery of Vana'diel.

There is no cutscene at Aldo. Atleast there wasn't for me. Just go straight to Gilgamesh.
