It was stated in the June 19 Topics that a chocobo’s appearance would change along with its attributes. Due to an extension of the testing period, these changes will now be implemented in a following version update

I was rather pleased by the news up until the above.

Only typical really.

Suppose we all have to wait an extra month or so to find out how to get the spiffy colours. Wonder who'll raise a choco now and who'll wait for a guide to get the one they want.

I think it's time to start all my mules gardening with Wildgrass Seeds because in a week or 2 when everyone needs chocobo food to up their stats and affection you know prices will be through the roof.

That makes me concerned that the duration of the ride might be less than 5 minutes. Unless, of course, you spend months and months raising a gold chocobo to be able to ride it for 10 minutes, still less than the length of time a choco from the stables lasts for.

not quite sure what they mean by that. Does it mean the colors are not going to be added in this patch?

Hence why there is a chart and description for each characteristic that changes the chocobo.

From what I remember, SE just didn't want people to use chocobo's to walk 10 feet. (Very extreame example) But imagine there were good EXP mobs very very far apart, SE doesn't want you to call > choco > dismount > kill > call > etc... Not saying it won't be 5min, but with the Paytaru, and this, OP > Call Choco > all zones accessable in about 1min.

i,e, Whitegate Taru > Home Nation > Li'Telor > Call Choco > Ro'Meave in under 2min.

OR Whitegate Taru > Home Nation > Cape Teriggan > Call Choco > Valley of Sorrows in 2min.

If you have your OPs done, this patch makes getting anywhere a breeze.
