lol you clearly know nothing about football. The Steelers run what is called a zone blitz. On the Joey Porter interception it looked to culpepper like he was going to be rushing the passer since he started at the line, so for that reason Daunte did not account for him dropping back into coverage which is how he was able to intercept the ball, that is how the zone blitz works. The pass with Heath Miller I am thinking was a safety or cornerback blitz, and the tight end is commonly not accounted for, so stop making excuses since probably whatever team you are from sucks ass.
As far as the fumble that has nothing to do with the short yardage game. It has to do with a quarterback not being used to that situation since he has started 3 games in 2 years. And if you watched the game you saw Parker didn't just run outside the whole game and instead went between the tackles and ran people over. While I agree we do need to find an alternative since Parker will break down throughout the season, our short yardage game is still fine. The Steelers game is 3-4 yards and a cloud of dust and that continued to be evident last night.
Correction, they are in the toughest division in football. No team in the NFC East is proven, it is all speculation. The Steelers are proven, Bengals are proven, and the Ravens defense is proven, and now they have McNair. I think 12-4 is accurate. We will lose two games in the division (1 to the Bengals, 1 to Ravens), and two other random games throughout the season. And then anything could happen in the playoffs.
Oh, and as far as Randle El, did you just not watch the game last night? Hello Heath Miller, Hello Nate Washington. Nate Washington made an excellent catch for that first touchdown in the corner, and he ran the reverse, both plays that would have been Randle El's a year before. And Heath Miller goes without saying, he will be invaluable in the red zone.
I am sorry for the long winded post, but when people make these empty claims that make no sense when thought through it annoys me.
Ive been watching football since i was old enough to remember. Probably back when the cowboys were dominatng. Calling my football knowledge speculative is laughable when you get upset over me speaking the truth. H O M E R. If you think a short yardage game is as efficient as last year, your crazy. Bettis was a huge loss. They did keep one of the top 3 defensive playmakers in the league in palumalu(sp?). Let's be real though, ravens got better, cinci got better, and pitt lost talent. Big ben probably won't start game 2 either. As far as randle el, without him (or poor officiating) you wouldnt have won the superbowl. BTW, im from KY and don't really have a pro team that i root for. I love college football, but if i were to pick a pro team, id have to say indianapolis because i really like manning.

As far as the dividion argument, its all speculation. Theres so much parity in this league that anyone can completely bomb when they are expected to be good. Everytime the redskins are expected to be good, they bomb. You can't really say for sure, that "x" division is the best, you can only go by speculation. Cinci may completely bomb, and mcnair staying healty is questionable too.

Vegas put pitt @ 10.5 games.

Ben is starting game 2, he got his friggin appendix taken out not major surgery...

Bengals and Ravens really didn't get that much better, either. Ravens got who, Steve McNair? lol and Jamal Lewis is a maybe to play much. Bengals got nobody.

To all ravens fans lolMcNair? Ya hes going to save your old age on defence, and all of a sudden make a average at best offence somehow good. (the toughest man in football! who just happens to get hurt the most?) gogo mcnair.

Bengals? meh not even gonna bother, i'm sure if pittsburg beats you this year you'll think up some excuse for why you lose again. Sorry guys pittsburg ran all over your weak ass defence last year a big ole fat defensive lineman you picked isn't going to fix that.

Not saying there going to repeat or anything, just saying ravens are severly overrated for getting a old qb, and cincy doesn't have there nice easy schedual like they had last year

I simply said that pittsburg got worse since last season, and cinci and baltimore improved. Theres really no disputing that. It is really funny how you say that your in the toughest division then go on to say how every team except yours is overrated. Robert Walker, who writes the sportsbooks in vegas, puts steelers under 10.5 also. Im not saying im correct, im just saying im not the only one who thinks they won't go 11-5 or 12-4.

I don't know why you keep calling me a homer, sure I am a huge fan, but it is not like I am making outrageous claims about the team. You are being much more biased towards your opinion than I am about how the Steelers will be doing.
I agreed that the running game took a hit in my first post, saying that we need a second back, so no sense in calling me crazy about that. And again as far as Randle El, sure he was huge in the Superbowl, but he has replaced so well. Again, Santonio Holmes, Nate Washington in a better role, and Heath Miller.
and lol @ liking Manning, one of the biggest chokers in sports history. Hello having the most talent on the field in the NFL in the last 3 years and not being ever able to beat New England, and Pittsburgh last year. Throw the blame wherever else you like (Vanderjagt) which you will probably say, but he is the leader of that team, and point is he cannot win the big game.
    Steelers 12-4

Bengals couldn't have gotten more lucky... don't make me post a pic of 1 of Carson's like 10 fumbles.

Yes, I saw sacks, no fumbles, but I could be mistaken as I was fighting Guivre and Amemet towards the end. Aside, its not luck when steelers just hand bengals the ball 3+ times.

They both were off thier game, put steelers were way off for some reason.

  15. #35

He fumbled it around 3 times, just the ball always bounced to the O-line so Steelers couldn't get.

Steelers defense and run game were great, they lost because of Ben sucking and the Bengals getting insanely lucky on retarded ass Colcough fumbling the punt.

Especially with Carson's ... what 4 TDs? Even though I think he threw 2 picks. Still not bad for someone coming off a tough offseason with that injury of his. Kinda funny that Chad didn't do squat once again even with all his yapping. It's always T.J. Houshmandzadeh that hurts the Steelers really, imo. (Woah.. I think I actually spelled his name correctly...)

How could you possibly say they owned the entire game? At which point? It was even the entire game. They never pulled away to an unreachable point. Both defenses were good, but the Steelers' was better. More sacks, better run defense, Willie Parker had a great game against that spotty Bengals run D. Only part they were better on was passing yardage.

    Total ownage man. Total ownage.

Bengals wasnt even better in passing yardage, it was just the plethora of individual errors that owned the steelers. Pitt only led one time in the game. 21 points off turnovers is far from a lot of luck. Sloppy game by both teams.

Two touchdowns by 1 team in under a minute is pretty good.
