Chelvnik question

I have done this KSNM few times before(like 2 months ago) it was nice,easy and pretty weak too.
Anyways, my ls tried doing this last week.. it was so hard and Meteor which i used to get hit by 500 or less with stoneskin.. but last week this mob was like the hardest thing ever ; ; and it was hiting us Thunderbolt+Meteor lol so the fight that we used to finish in 10min or less we finish it now in 20min+ with many deaths.
I was wondering if some update have changed this ksnm and make it stronger or w/e

Works fine for me, you just need to have a smarter kiter than can run just barely inside casting range and when meteor casts ... run away

#1) You werent casting shell
#2) less people were getting hit by meteor


10 people getting hit by meteor with shell = 600dmg.
1 people getting hit by meteor without shell = 2000dmg



Melee zerg it with 5-6 warrior or mnk and a few support. Takes 2 minutes to kill from start to finish (add 30sec if you're trying not to have 12 death from mijin meteor at the end) . You don't need ridill, just a brd and sole sushi.

you need to let the BLM with hate let it cast meteor then run... then everyone else does SC/nukes

We have a WHM or RDM use a macro

/party <t> has Hate Run Away!!

Our BLM's pretty much just nuke, then turn and run, till they are sure hate is not on them. We don't have herald gaiters so if they wait for it to start casting meteor, sometimes they won't outrun it.

If it's a kited fight there is always the possibility of an unlucky Thunderbolt followed by a meteor >< But rarely happens.

That isn't fool proof, because he can switch hate and still cast meteor on previous target. To quote from the previous time this was asked on this board

Get a good tank and a few BLM's... We have a tank in our LS (Galka Garret!) who can hold so much hate its not even funny. His magic resistance is almost null (I had maybe 1 resistance a fight in all DD gear, no skill+)

Chat filters are important. Have EVERYONE filter out, so that the chat filter icon says ON (this seems to confuse people? I don't know... The circle has to say ON for them to be filtered OUT)

And make "Special actions on/by you" unfiltered (Circle says OFF). With these chat filters, you will see

Chlevnik starts casting Meteor

ONLY when it is being cast on you; when its on anyone else, it will be filtered. This way you will always know who meteor is being cast on, and that person can run away from Chlevnik while everyone else runs toward him (This means that even if meteor hits that person because they were too close, it shouldn't hit anyone else) Make sure everyone has a /shout macro that they hit AS SOON AS THEY SEE meteor being cast on them - this lets everyone know to get the hell away from him.

Another small hint - he will use Meteor at 1% and it will drop him to extremely low health. We have had times where everyone screams "DEAD OMG WIN" and rushes to the box, and nothing happens... You must do at least SOME damage to him after his meteor, for god sakes just drop a Bio on him and go grab your loot.
