Very nifty. I would like a GUI like that, but I'm very visually based. I would just hope that there is a good folder system for it, because I am also very unorganized with out folders. lol

I think it would actually be semi-useful for some users, at least with a tablet PC, especially for me because I sift through images, not just non-visual data files. I still want a tablet PC because I still need a Laptop and I can't afford both that and a Wacom Cintiq, and my Intuos2 is about as big as my frickin' desk. I think the only thing that this GUI lacks for the average user is file names being easily visible.

I'm with Wafik; I love this. I don't claim it to be some huge ergonomic improvement nor do I think the developers would either, but anyone with any appreciation for graphic design, digiart, and/or computer animation is going to think that's cool. Being appealing to people, which it clearly is for some, doesn't mean it's entirely useless; there's worth in appealing to someone in some respect.

I wouldn't want my entire HD organized in only this manner, but I'd still probably invest in it and use/enjoy it for some things.

Useful for organisation on a tablet pc where stylus is your primary control device, I'd think.

Vista is going to have 3D Windows, though I doubt it will be as involved as that video demonstration. I love organizational tools like that though.

After watching the video though, the two things that are stuck in my mind are "lassu" and "Dragon Cross".
