When counter procs alot (depending on the number of melee attacking) it may look like 100 fists when it's just countering. (or Kick Attacks)Originally Posted by FFXIFlux

Kaeko, the brains behind my LS, has solo'd it before. He wrote a short walkthrough about it in this threadOriginally Posted by spooky

How exactly do you fight it while weakened?Originally Posted by Elondir
umm, I've kited Ix'MNK in the Ebon Panel room for 10 minutes as a DRK. He takes wide turns around the corners so it's easy to keep ahead. With +Movement Speed and some sort of AutoRefresh, very doable.
I've done it with 3-4 a couple times (rdm rdm blm mnk, or some combo). I could see even the 3-organ pop being solo'd by a RDM though with the right meds, without even dieing .
I might try this eventually, I have a big buffer anyways.
Is there a consensus on whether or not more organs traded = better cape drop rate? Since I started doing this, I'm 0/3 solo with singles and 0/3 solo with three... I've also duo'd and trio'd to help others many times and still nothing. I know the drop rate sucks, but if it's the same with 1 organ I'd much rather do that... much easier to pull off solo and wastes less organs.
Also yes, this is relatively easy to do on BLM/RDM with gaiters. I've gotten it down to about 30 minutes flat without any items besides the RR pin. Kiting weakened honestly doesn't change anything because you shouldn't get hit. The pull if you're using 3 organs is slightly trickier since the Qn'aerns cannot depop after you die on the pull. Usually you'll be ok as long as you die quickly - the Qn'aerns are both casters while the MNK just B-lines for you so there is alot of seperation. Just make sure you die asap when you get to the room so the Qn'aerns cannot catch up. I have heard that MNK will outrun you without movement speed gear (I'm not positive since I never take gaiters off). RDM could definately do this a whole lot easier.
What I usually do for this is start off by taking the West (left) door. Get the NPC and just train your way to the NW portal with sleep. Check the West ??? pop - if it's there you're set. If not, do not escape and go to the East ??? pop via the entrance - the NPC escort there is annoying as hell as you have to fight alot of mobs on the way there. Instead, you can backtrack from the West ??? and take the shortcut back, sleeping everything. This lets you avoid all NPC escorts; just log off to lose aggro on anything you slept when you reach the ??? on East side. Usually takes me 5/10 minutes to find depending if I guess right.
0/6 Solo. 0/5 Duo/Trio. /sigh
